For those of you continuing your educational covid comments, every skater is aware of covid and all of them are aware that they have a choice of what they want to do with their health and life. Allow others to make decisions for themselves without judging based off of your fear. This video was meant to relieve your mind from the stresses of having to think about it daily. Skating rinks are doing all they can as other business establishments to stop the spread. Ex. Temperature checks, hand sanitizer, and requiring masks at the door. It is hard to do strenuous activities such as skating with a mask on so that is why you see so many skaters without them. Do as you will with your life, no one is judging you. Yes they recently renovated and added the rink to the park. The park has been in this community since the 60's. Im glad they improved it. At night though its not so safe if your not from the neighborhood
Wow this brings back memories as a kid for me.. This is what kids my age and teenagers back then lived for, the rink on the weekends. Great environment for kids of all ages, i remember the older skaters tought the little ones and watched over them like a buddy system. Cynthia Wright I was a pretty good skater as a kid but later on as an adult when skating became less cool because roller blades came out, I lost my technique I guess. Fast forward to an adult....I bought a couple pairs of skates so I could show my daughter how fun it is. We both spent about 30 minutes in the skates and thought we were going to die. 😂 I had no balance, no skill, I was afraid of falling the entire time! It’s definitely not like riding a bike. LOL my daughter never put those skates back on again. But I lived in those skates growning up during the summers, skating everywhere around the neighborhood. I even took skating lessons by myself on the weekends.These people bring back great memories and they are way better than I ever was. That synchronized skating is pretty cool.
Idk about coming up, but before quarantine started, Skate King had lessons on Saturday mornings for different levels (beginner, intermediate & advanced). That’s where I learned how to skate backwards

So many wonderful things about this video! I wear masks, but there are people with masks and those without, and no one is arguing or trying to shame each other. Just respect and skating! I love the way people are linking arms and skating in sync making beautiful patterns, but not running into one another! It's so beautiful. There are people of every age and size enjoying themselves and being with each other. I love that everyone's skates seem very basic colors. The emphasis is on the skating, not who has the cutest skates. I'm waiting for my first pair of skates to be delivered. I'm so excited!
