Slave owners did not do their own flogging. They always had another slave do it. The first slave owner in america was a black man named Anthony Johnson. The first man to own a black man was a black man. Strange but true.
Ummmmm no. He was owned as a slave thus he couldn't be the first to own a Black person as a slave. And yes.........he definitely owned Enslaved people because he lived in a colony designed by Europeans where the way to gain wealth was to become one of the land owned people and make enslaved people do the work for you. He was doing what he saw around him.

But that's besides the point. Go educate yourself on who Anthony Johnson was. Another black slave owner to research is William (April) Ellison. It's said that he was a slave breeder. Paying someone to get his female slaves pregnant and than selling the babies. Even the whites looked down him for that.
