They are very light and what they are doing is much more about balance and technique, than it is about strenght. Let's see them to bench press, deadlifts or weighted squats. Spoiler alert: they'll do rather badly.

GymPerformance the chin ups and handstand pushups are hard to judge on quality, I like your max cross suggestion though. Max handstand and straddle planche were both gymnastics strength elements

It isn't a perfect straddle because his body isn't parallel which gives him more leverage but still great nonetheless.
I used to think I was pretty fit when I did a 8 second straddle planche and probably tore a few things. THEN HE DOES IT FOR 28 SECONDS.
Also, remember they did a "max" handstand hold prior to it! The muscles used in planche are (almost) the same as on HS! That really is crazy!
Also, keep in mind they're all rounders. Makes you think just how much time can a ring specialist get.

Oliver Rodriguez chin up are a supination grip (palms towards you - utilises more biceps, closer grip). And pull ups are pronated grip (palms away - utilisess larger lat muscles, wider grip). Totally different exercises using different muscles.
Steven W I'm fully aware, and thank you. What I was saying, is that Nile literally meant "chin over the bar". They weren't worried about gripping the bar a certain way, they were just trying to perform max reps of getting their chin over the bar from a hang

So today we learned that Gymnastic guys don't know the difference between chin-ups and pull-ups
They're British; they use different terms than we do for a lot of things. They call tank tops "vests" for example; elevators=lifts.
Doesn't make a difference. I'm a Brit and they were doing pull-ups, not chin-ups.

I hope kids still do this kind of thing. We used to do challenges like these every spare second. I'm certainly not fit now, but watching this stuff I realize how fit I was much of my young life. XD
