Hello! At the beginning it can simply be played in first position on the E string. I prefer the tone colour that results from fourth position! I also prefer going back up onto the A string again later on, to vary the sound. Once again, it is possible to play that in first position. It's an interpretive practical choice, naturally down to the performer and dependent on what works and sounds best!
