Deadliest Journeys - Colombia/Venezuela: Trafficking Across the Border

  • It's a no-man's land of 2200km in height in the middle of the jungle, dominated by the Andes Mountains. The ever-uncontrollable border between Columbia and Venezuela. It's a paradise for cartels, except here, it's not the traffic of cocaine, but of petrol.
In this acclaimed series, we journey on some of the world’s most dangerous routes and explore the lengths people go to in order to change their destinies.
Directors : Paul Comiti and David Geoffrion

I feel for chickens, they, courtesy of McDonald's & chicken nuggets, at cheap prices in Supermarkets also, have become non animals, from egg to slaughter is nearly 30 days, a lettuce takes longer. Chickens are intelligent & brave. We should respect them more. A chicken learnt to play the USA national anthem. We treat them badly from cages to massive barns & killed, & then hung upside down on a conveyor belt like cans of beans. Another chicken goes to a young boy for a cuddle but asks him first by a gentle peck & then runs around to his outstretched arms. I rarely eat chicken now.

From which government policies? Did you hear the narrator say that Venezuela has the largest oil reserve in the world. Guess who wants to get their hands on that? If you figure that out, you will know why sanctions were put on Venezuela to bring the country to its knees. All because the president of Venezuela decided that the resources of Venezuela belong to the people of Venezuela and not to foreign imperialist entities.

I will probably never understand why journalists have constantly walk around and film with voluminous and extremely flashy equipment... If I want to avoid dangerous situations with the police or anyone else, I only have two or three smartphones with me... It's today under normal circumstances, it's really easy to make good film and sound recordings with an inconspicuous smartphone or a small consumer camera... even in 4k, if it's absolutely necessary... The quality may be a little bit worse than with the monstrous ones "Professional cameras", but I can move more freely and take my picture more discreetly... Is it simply arrogance or just plain stupidity to risk one's life by walking around as conspicuously as possible with enormous equipment... I never will understand...
Especially in this video dealing with illegal smugglers, where you can clearly see and hear that you could have been shot, I would think twice about sticking my nose to the wind too much... Yes, I have I lived in Ecuador for three years and often went to Peru and Bolivia to see gold prospectors, they also love it when strangers show up with huge equipment... Discretion and as inconspicuous behavior as possible was always my motto when I wanted to do exciting reports. .. As a private person, of course, without a filming permit and such paperwork, which ultimately doesn't help me if someone goes nuts and shoots me in my head... My opinion...

Venezuela negara yg kaya tapi salah urus dan korupsi. Waktu harga minyak tinggi, pemerintahnya terlalu memanjakan rakyatnya dgn subsidi shg rakyatnya terlena. Negara jg tdk membangun kilang minyak, shg tdk bisa mengolahnya menjadi BBM. Hal ini berakibat BBM menjadi langka dan harganya menjadi mahal, sementara harga minyak sbg sumber pendapatan negara sangat murah. Semoga saja rakyat Venezuela dpt melewati itu semua dgn membangun pertanian dan peternakan yg kuat🤔
