Today, and each Sunday, as we gather we remember and acknowledge that we worship and gather We recognize that our church building is situated on lands once called Piktuk, one part of the traditional territories of Mi'kma'ki - the unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq People.
This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” -
first signed with the Mi'kmaq, Maliseet and Passamaquoddy First Nations prior to 1779.
We extend our gratitude and respect to the Mi’kmaq people
for their enduring presence and care for this land.
We honour the diversity of histories, cultures, and spiritualities
which continue to shape and enrich our communities.
