regardless of any job or role, if you do not have the love and passion of the work, chances are you would easily give up. as long as you know your purpose why you have the job, everything surrounding you becomes an element which you may use to achieve your purpose which is good and noble. kath made an advanced alert for those who would like to join the world's no. 1 airline. anyway, career path involves personal choices and be sure those choices will complement your life's goal.

What medical condition/s can render you unfit to work that can affect the work visa being processed for you?? Would hypertension and or related condition/s affect that? Currently processing from the Philippines
As someone also working in QR, I agree, specially with #1 and #5. It takes way too much mental, and emotional strength to be able to survive in the position, company and country.

I agree w all but most difficult thing is "Rules". Many things which u dont know until u come to Doha and start training. They never mention about some stuffs till u start. I didnt know that u cant use your mobile phone in service bus and in building. Yes, guys. Mobile phones are not allowed entire time. Even when u are at airport, except emergency calls and calls from company etc. Min rest (12 h), dress code in tower, even u are not allowed to carry plastic bags etc w u in tower. These are some of lil rules. There are MANY MANY of them :) So if u cant just endure all of these kind of things, please think twice before u apply.
Beside of all Qatar is VERRRRY HOT country. Especially in summer time, going out is like torture. Classes are cold and outside too hot, some of my friends got sick at training period bcs of these. Also there are so less places to go and enjoy. Plus u will have so less time to go out also :)

I do encourage you to give it a try. Buuuuttttt... During the scar declaration, they WILL ask about it lol. Me and many more got rejected at that test today lol 🤣
I am a flight attendant with a big gulf airline and listen to this ; if your tattoo is not being showed with a watch on (fas always have to wear watch ) never mention it . I have five tattoos in my body but places that nobody else can see except my boyfriend and there was never an issue . No need to say anything that no one can’t see , except if they see you in bikini 😂

Hi im from philippines and i applied in qatar airway for cabin crew may 23 2022 and i got shortlisted after the final interview QR ask me to stay and offered me lounge supervisor HIA I received an email on july 6. Interviewed via webex by 2 panelist and they told me to wait 2-3weeks for the results but until today I haven’t receive email. It’s kinda anxious if i got the role. Can you share some light for this please?

Well Qatar Airways makes me have cancel five times my flight without any reasons? Plus the staff in airport from Cebu International Airport staff of Qatar Airways is really insulting irrespectful about Requirements like Rtpcr Covid Test no consideration and asking a shameful Requirements does you need to ask a passenger his/her marriage contract? Really a disgusting staff that you can really say stupid you already give them all the documents needed passport itinerary and my Italian resident permit imagine asking such stupid documents I think only immigration must asks such Requirements not a staff who just only to see the ticket itinerary and the passport.It really makes me think is this the Qatar staff? Are they not trained how to deal passengers service not to ask or what ask for any documentation I might think are they have brains before asking any documents might perhaps not using their brain cells to functions?!

i’ve been working in QR on the last 5 years. i agree of all that you said, i had a lot of things that i hate in the airline, but still i really love QR.
in my opinion, QR knows how to take care of their passengers, but they didn’t know how to take care of their employees. It’s very sad that they prioritised the passenger first than their employees.
I flew QR last month Italy / Thailand.
I am very disappointed with the attentions I received,
Bad food, minimal standard service.
First fly FCO-DHA old plane, old screens, no USB (amazing in 2022 !!) I don’t see real attention for the passenger.
Sad I m very disappointed.
I had already fly several times with QR
I remembered it much better
So the sum is bad attention for the passenger + bad attention for flight attendant = never again

Kinda uninformative this video, as it focuses more on the "to get the job part, you personally have to be" ish approach, instead of telling the truth about the job, so here are the cons:
1. This is an Arabic country that does not value your personal rights a lot, so doesn't this company !period!.
2. If you dont follow rules, they will investigate against you and anyone who didnt follow rules and the punishment is strict, severe and apart from the punishment there are very little incentives to keep working for the company, as you will need most of your allowed sick leave days per year for resting and you will receive feedback from your supervisor such as "dont take your sick leave, you want to be a supervisor one day, dont you?". So as with many big corporations, not only in the aviation industry, but also across industries, such big corporations such as Accenture, pwc, kpgm & QA, promotions depend on relationships, rule-ownership and it kinda feels that a lot of the supervisors are brainwashed.
3. You are servicing people in 30.000 feet, you have to lift the same as service personal in restaurants/hotels, but against G-Forces, you will need to push 30kg Baggage deposits, piles and piles of stored coca cola cans that are very heavy and you will have to wear anti Thrombosis clothes or else your body will get bloated and you will have to train to counter the back-pain.
4. Your company does not give you much personal freedom to have a healthy work-life-balance: you pay no tax and none accommodation costs, as well as getting food money for each layover, so thats good right? But the layovers and resting times are so short, you are not tolerated to show any form of "disgrace against QA or you will be punished" during your layovers, so in essence you wont enjoy much of that money for your personal well being. Also, your wage is not exactly enabling you to live the life as most tourist destinations are really expensive and many of the staff from Asian countries are sending home much money, so if you are among these then you will not really have much of a work-life-balance.
5. Qatar is against any activities outside traditional marriages, if you want to build a modern relationship, it can be really tough, like extremely tough to keep it alive.
My suggestions as for many international companies is: do the job for the benefits, but find ways to prepare for an exit via education and another profession, the big corporations are burning through its employees faster than freshly lit tinder and you are a human being that deserves more than a work-work-balance in a punitive, stressful job.
