There is no doubt that Handsome bhaiya is an ever loving, ever smiling generous soul. The part where Palden sir points out that Handsome was ever so sure that Allah would repay the debts unpaid by boys and how he doesn't mind the boys really touched me. But I hope all of us watching this video understand the importance of one's labour. In a world that's profit hungry and exploitative in so many levels, we as individuals have the impetus to make it better. I admire how those boys grew up and reflected on their actions. May we all reflect on our past actions and make a change for a better self, community and world.

Wow. Absolute legend of a man..his name precedes his reputation...
Didn't get to experience Handsome bhaiya's puffs and biscuits.. but there were lot of Rotiwalas in Kalimpong when I was growing up.. one person used to visit our neighbourhood when i was kid , Its sad to see such people and their skills depleting these days.. whenever I visit home, Rotiwalas have become a rare sight and I always long for one bite of their gospuffs and biscuits.
Heared from my mother that the Rotiwala Bhaiya who used to visit our neighbourhood can't do it anymore because of some ailment.. Those were the golden days and our beloved Rotiwalas were an integral part of our society... hats off to them and their hardwork.

He reminded me of "Babuwa" from Gorubathan . Though i dnt have vivid memory of how he used to look , all i remember & my parents still tells me to this day that i used to get so scared nd cry for an hour but that gem of a person always used to treat me with his buns.

first of all i would like to thank you mr Shalom for this wonderful Blog and for reviving the golden memories of my school and of course who can forget mr Handsome... Growing up in Sumi Hostel i must have literally eaten ten thousands of gospop and biscuits sometimes in cash when i had pocket money and sometimes in baki(majority) .. fast forward after finishing my higher secondary then college ,marriage work .. i finally met him after nearly 9 years exactly in the same spot of our school and paid him the last baki multipled by interest for all those years plus 500 rupees extra .. .. sending him lots of love all the way from Barcelona..
