Hey 618 i have lost a few lures in that second spillway. Use to fish it a lot when i worked south of virden in the coal mine. Told wife i knew where you were at, so i had to bring it up on google just to show her. Good luck on your adventures.
Fishing been pretty tough up around your first stop. I was out that way not to long ago and was only catching bullheads. Would love to know where the the third stop is located, looks like a nice place to fish.
I know you been looking for a big fish, however seeing such a wide range of fish in that area is a great sign of biodiversity in that river system. Such a neat video to see so many different type of fish and I say that the quantity over massiveness really nice change of pace too! Thank you again for bringing us along.
It's always an awesome day for all when you are catching fish!! You are competed correct though, fishing has been tough th the last month or so here in western NY also
I hear ya on fishing being tough lately, but you still managed to get ya a new PB! Awesome to see it, keep at it and hopefully things will pick up, for the both of us lol!
Dear Nick, love your video's! Been following you for a long time. Who is the singer of "i'm a rolling Stone"? I love that song. Keep on fishing! Wouter from Gouda, Netherlands.
Hate to see all your spillway's so low ! Waters levels are down here in Texas too . Farmers Almanac is predicting a wet winter for everybody so we can hope . You still caught some fish so no skunk , guess that's a win , any day fishin is a good day ! Hang in there and pray for rain 👍👍
Ever tried Gulp baits? I even caught a carp today with a Gulp minnow , never caught a carp with a minnow before . I also caught a few really nice Crappies .
We love ur spillway videos they are so entertaining and inspiring but you could definitely fish the main lake of some of these spillways if the fishing is slow
Spillways and retention ponds will almost always surprise a fellow. I caught a 31 lb snook in a spillway running into Davie river, Ft Lauderdale. The spillway was only 12' to 15' wide, and 4' to 5' deep. MONSTER SNOOK !😂😅
You got that right about fishing being tough 😅 fishing here from shore in Hawaii and it's been tough for me this week. 😢 I went out today just for a couple hours and nothing 😢 but there's still more to come. 😂
Fishing has been VERY slow here. We're leaving in the morning to an airbnb with a few stocked ponds. Hopefully, things will turn around for us both, Nick!
I don't know if you knew this already, or not, but something I can't upon in my earlier years of fishing. Before the internet (so that could tell you how long or how old I am). I would say in the early '80s or late '70s, I would catch green sunfish at different locations up north in Pennsylvania out in the "boondocks." This particular species however got huge in some places. Had a hard time explaining it to people by just word of mouth and being a kid. Many people thought I was crazy. But they were as long as an average size bass but had the same patterns as the green sunfish. Later on when doing a Google search, found this to be extremely accurate information and that they do get pretty big. It was a rare find when I was younger to see these fish though, and I'm pretty sure I've fished them out of the small farm ponds and irrigation ponds in orchards and the like. Also fought like you can't believe as well! Haven't been able to find them in years!
Rough start, but you found the fish,, only took half a day but it's better than working. Might need to head to the big river, all these little ones are drying up.
Sees dead drum. "Whoa i never expected to catch a drum here!" I get it...Whatever you gotta do to make something out of a slow day...I do enjoy watching your videos.
Ok, I’m gonna spew a little secret spot of mine off here. It is the tail waters of the Melton Hill Dam outside of Knoxville, TN. You can show up there at the break of day and catch multiple species of MONSTERS. Stripers, Drum, Flat Heads, Channels, Bluecats. It’s is unbelievable
seems like everywhere has low water levels, i fish lower Wisconsin River with a jet boat and its nearly impossible anymore to navigate anywhere, River is nothing but sandbars
I went on a fly fishing trip this week and have so far easily got 75+ brown trout (stocked but still pretty and fun to fight) and I still have tmrw morning
Black Bullheads often have a lot of yellow in them, making them look a lot like Yellow Bullheads. The best way to tell the difference is by the chin whiskers. Black Bullheads have black chin whiskers and Yellow Bullheads have white. I think it would be really cool to catch a Brown Bullhead, but they are not very common in our area.
My local canal has catfish and carp and more in England, great filming thanks Nick.
It's been rough around northern IL for a few weeks now. Glad to see you having some luck! Tight lines Nick!
Nice one Nick , 3rd time lucky !. A spillway tour special , patience payed off . Well done . Tight lines .
Tiny little green sun fish is the catch of the day . Keep the video coming Nick.

Welcome back Nick! Once again you prove worthy of the title as the “Spillway Slayer”!

Tough going out there just now. Thanks for the effort.
Nice.
Adds a bit more excitement hitting new spots.
I like how how you appreciate every fish 🐟 😌
Hey Nick, I appreciate the "See ya later Buddy". In fact I try to catch a time where you forget to say it. Lol. Thanks for the fun videos.
Very nice of you to leave the tackle box. Not many people would have done that. 🎉
I really enjoyed this one Nick🐟🎣🐟🎣
We love ur spillway videos they are so entertaining and inspiring but you could definitely fish the main lake of some of these spillways if the fishing is slow
A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work so keep on fishing Nick 🎣

Stocked pond you will do just fine
Putting in the work! Nice pay off! Great video as usual Nick!
Thanks for the revisit and awesome video Nick.
Nice black bullhead we catch tons of them here in Pa
Hell yeah! Great video as always! I didn’t realize there were black bullhead. I’ve only caught the yellow ones.😎👍
There are actually 7 different species of bullheads.
There's black, brown, and yellow bullhead in my area. I believe those were actually channel cats Nick caught.
@@TB-zw7dt The first one looked like a Black Bullhead to me. The rest were definitely channels.
Great video nick keep up the great work!
Another great video Nick. keep it up.

Best thing about the first two spots are you can see what's on the bottom when the water is running. Intel can be worth more than fishing itself
Can you post a video showing your combo and what you use a lot😢pls
Nick makes Thursdays one of my favorite days of the week with his videos
The excitement that freshwater sheephead can drum up is simply incredible
I catch some crazy drum on Watts Bar from time to time when bass fishing. Tanks. They fight.
Looking forward to another adventure!! ❤
Enjoyed the content Nick👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
