I was an AI product manager for GE Software and make videos on how AI works behind the scenes to enable these capabilities. These robots are quite remarkable advancements. It's also great that you're highlighting the weaknesses of each one. The disturbing thing about some of them is that they're designed to replace people or even be artificial substitute people. Hopefully that part of their design will happen slower than these companies plan -- or not at all -- but it's definitely a direction to watch and to plan for in the not too distant future.
We need to implement UBI and replace working humans entirely. We can't let elites get an unequal share in this technology solely so they can profit. 500 years ago it was just about survival, today, it's about materialistic consumerism, and survival. We need to look past this plantation work.
I don't know what will happen after another 15-20 years of my life (I'm 25 now), but I'm sure I will witness these pre-mature T-800s become self-aware and destroy us.
They will be extremely threatening for less than 90 minutes at a time. (That's how long the robot dog "Spot" can run until it needs to recharge for 2 to 3 hours). That being said, AI doesn't need a body to destroy us.
Seriously ? There is not one 'task' you have speculated, that machines do not already do. They just don't look humanoid. Household chores. Like a washing machine ? Or a slow cooker ? Or an automated vacuum cleaner ? Other major advancements these machines may soon master (as mentioned) Sewing machine. Delivery drones. Self navigating vehicles. Warehouse lift systems. Coffee making machines. Dishwashers. In fact, according to this presentation, all robotics is accomplishing is replacing humans ... in everyday human tasks, therefore rendering humans redundant. Which would produce a regressive emotional and psychological impact on ... humans. Not so appealing.
The technology is vey much growing. Once these come out innovations will follow quickly. In a few years they should be able to do a lot more than we even can expect now.
Loved the insights on the humanoid robots! I'm curious, what are your thoughts on the CBC and BTZ tokens in Solana? Any potential impact on this tech? 🤖
Wait so Kime sits in one spot and only dispenses predefined drinks. What's the benefit over an automatic fountain that have existed for decades at this point? Seems like those have larger tanks, better throughput, less to break (why would you give that thing glass bottles?), and can have the same camera-based tools layered on (for recognition of regulars). Essentially, for most of these: why does it need to be humanoid? Purpose-built automation is much more efficient & these aren't flexible enough for a true generalist role.
Because alcohol costs more than a soda and ppl would abuse the system, why it’s behind some glass, I think I saw an ad for one in Vegas. I mean when 7-11 said fill up ANYTHING with slurpee for “blank” price ppl brought in 10am bottles…
I love the idea of humanoid robots and it's nice to see all these companies come up with new designs but like, phone's cant even last a week on a full charge and they have no moving parts. We really need better battery tech for these things to really be viable. Otherwise they're going to be recharging 10 times a day. Maybe they can reduce downtime with fast charging but these things out in the wild are going to destroy batteries. Whatever company finds a way to create new batteries that can hold a charge for days, weeks or months is going to be a damn rich company.
If Tom Hanks could become socially invested in a basketball then all this 'humanoid' robot stuff is quite pointless and augmenting the current robotic dog makes much more sense.
I'm excited to see how this will tie into cyber security in the future, you can't have a bot getting hacked and going rogue now can you? Imagine a robot that operates machinery or assembles parts in a company building during the day, but at night it's a security threat, damaging servers, unlocking doors or exfiltrating sensitive data. My job's gonna get real interesting :)
The understanding of how bots are advancing its not well explain . Its cool to read the label 😂 Or introduced algorythms but the experienced of being inside their world its hard to explain even harder to understand.
I feel like if all of these companies worked together, humanoid robots would become a reality much faster.

This will happen in less time than your projection, unfortunately.

I am looking forward for a humanoid android robot that could take the place of my home health aide!
None of these are good enough

For what clown?
You trippin hard for thinking this
Make me a humanoid robot that’s enough. Exactly
Watching each of them walk makes me appreciate the human body as a miracle!
They can still run faster and for longer than you. Why should it matter how it looks?
😂 robot will never destroy us, only us human will destroy each others.
We will probably use robots to help destroy ourselves, alot of this is intended for military use.

Thanks!
I want a Mech suit

we are experiencing a big tech boom our generation.
Jestem przerażony...nie chcę tych kreatur...nie wiem co mam zrobić do lasu się wynieść? może już za parę lat nawet lasów nie będzie.

Som šokovaný rýchlosťou, akou sa vyvíja umelá inteligencia a roboty
Only personal ownership of robots should be allowed. Then corporations can lease them from you so it does not hurt the working human population

The movies were just a glimpse of what might happen. Sky net will become self aware 2030
it would be good to integrate the building structures and techniques and technology to rebuild the Seviervillen Life the structures Homes build
Super creepy 😳
જય શ્રી રામ, જય શ્રી હનુમાનજી.
so speaking about stocks.... where shall we place our bets?!
Give me the megan fox robot before plastic surgery
At this point I would just be out of the woods and farm to feed myself without any job since theyve all been replaced by ai
Ty atleast some of my kind are here
3:04 Wtf this sounds like Astrobot the Playstation game lol

Sooner or later they might in up in boxing ring or ufc but for ai only
7th comment is mine
71 st like is also mine
A lot of excitment in your voice when you talked about Nadine, more than just a machine. Let’s hope when you get old, Nadine will take care of you! Gl
nuh
Nadine…..😬
