Outside of Counters, Extrinsic has always been my number one favorite Squad, so much so that I consider them family just as I do the Counters. Seeing them grow this way and open up to one another after all those times during their previous random interactions fills me with a sense of pride 🥹 This event was made for me and I love it And even after it's been revealed that Guillotine is the senior within the squad, I'll always see her as my chuuni little sister and that will never change xD
Shifty casually dropping April Fools level comedy with obscene amount of references in 1st part, to hit us in the 2nd part with emotional damage, bring to tears with most wholesome friendship and slap in the face with another portion of life motivation, all with very good writing (cinematic even, the script just begs to be anime adapted) and keeping their subplot going. AND Maiden my beloved in the spotlight 🥺🥺🥺🥺peak The writers and all VAs were having the time of their lifes here too I play with JP voicing and was completely blown away with Guillotine's VA performance. Never imagined she is actually THIS good

1:33:32 think about how Ade the Perfect Maid how she will do when she serving the eggrice in the maid cafe, she will do the spell in her style and mature maid way instead of Privaty embarrassing way. And Coco the little maid and Soda in maid cafe they all have their own way to do the tasty spell. Privaty however always do things in the most embarrassing way because it suit to her character.
Man, i don't think i was ready for what they cooked in part 2. Heh, i just realised, that also kind of a RPG reference in of itself, going from a 'small incident' to 'this has been my Grand Plan!' one. Like damn, the emotional part alone was a rollercoaster with all those twists. As a Guillotine fan, i be eating (and crying) good this event. Like, i think it was obviously that the 'chuuni' act was a coping mechanism but damn, the Chloe stuff hit me hard (and had me on edge the entire time). It made this my favourite christmas event hands down. I really wanted to MLB both Maiden and Guillotine but i don't think my luck will come through. I'll have hope i can stockpile for the rerun. also cursed 'gaping maw' lore.... yay?
I think the "one winged dark lord" is a allegory for depression, and "the winters bane" is loneliness, she will be consumed by the one winged dark lord and through her failure the winters bane will cover the land (her mind) thus she become a danger to the Ark.
