I can only wish there would be someone like him nowadays, where humor of excellence is somewhat scarce. So glad to be able to bring back his great and fine sense of humor.
Soooo sad to see other comments that criticize one of the first televised masters known to the common people in America. Borge overcame the boundaries of the time period, broke through walls that we take for granted today ONLY because he did the work for us. His was a talent that others can only poorly duplicate if at all, bringing not only laughter in a war torn world but genius, no one could transition between great works of that caliber not then and certainly not this present day. BEFORE you critique a master, be sure you can prove yourself to be as dedicated to the craft. I doubt highly, the naysayers have a clue...were you to see him in person it would be forever a life changing moment. RIP V. Borge
Brilliant , Rachmaninov second concerto ! Thank Victor Borge , l met you long time ago and didn’t know who you were , l sat at your piano and the tuner told me not to touch it and you said ok she is very soft ! Thank you mr Borge
That is a unique technique he has as a pianist! Enviable! Apparently he discovered his talent for comedy as a result of his nerves when performing as a soloist!

All of this is true plus the fact that he was one of the most revered concert players during his early years
What an amazing pianist and humorist Victor was! I'm so glad that we have these videos of him to enjoy one more time.
Brilliant musician, hilarious comedian...he has no equal.
Borge has been my favorite comedian for decades, thanks for posting this clip!
as a teenager, i wish more of my friends had the "aquired tastes" of older music/comidy

Fantástico 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
He reminds me a little of Tom Hanks impersonating Rowan Atkinson.
Now isn't that there a splendid idea for a movie.
The video discription could almost be a joke from Borge: "Victor Borge shows where classical composers get their inspiration from. From 1950."
Wonderful...even now...
great!!!
a genius
A true original.
Er war exzellent!!😊
5:53 LOL XD underrated joke!
8:41 gets me every time. He's just sitting there smiling when he should be playing. lol. "Oh..."
Is it just me, or does he sort of look like Tom Hanks in this?
the kick durm is hot🔥

HOW DID HE KNOW?
Fliszt's secret is now spread across the world
Ah damn you Victor! You made Fliszt sad.

Charlie Chaplin of classical music ... and more.
4:20 (Illuminati confirmed) "...because [Listz] wasn't very hunGARY" (gets dry tongue)
hes like a mr bean on the piano
Took me a while to understand the "Harry S Beethoven"
I am sorry, I still dont get the humor 😄. In fact he seems to be deliberately messing up all the names of the masters. Why is that?
Joe Mozart for today's listeners. Donald Haydn for the elder ones.
above the law the last song n.w.a...Vega and earrings..bad
- Gee! But he died later.
Hahahaha
9:10
He looks an awful lot like Tom Hanks here and there!
A musician he was but his stupid childish "jokes" are only pissing me off.
John Falstaff Ok then
How sad for you
There was this little Danish man. His humor was weak. Also, he died.
(V. Borge, visiting the almighty with a performance)
