Christine is a 1983 horror film about a sentient automobile, 1958 Plymouth Fury, named "Christine" and its effects on its teenaged owner, adapted from the novel Christine written by Stephen King. The film was directed by John Carpenter.
I remember seeing this in 1983 at the theater. The regeneration trick was a masterpiece. I have watched this movie a hundred times. The sound of the induction system on the Fury is a gearhead's song. Beautiful. Lovely movie. An American Icon.
Cars from that era had a style and a charm that cannot be duplicated. Wow. Nice video!
When I first watched his movie, I thought Christine was awesome. Once she was build into a master piece, she looked gorgeous

even though the spot we first see Christine is torn down you should have still shown it and what it looks like now,what ever is there.

i got the privilage of riding in one of the original 58 fury's they used in the movie and it was awesome,it went to a car show and cruise night back in 2004 here in oklahoma

You have really done a good job how did you know wear to find the locations, I love this movie i have been watching Christine from the age of 14 till now. I know every line all the mistakes and how many they destroyed I even restored one to and now i can see the real locations thanks. You must love the movie as much as me good job.

4235 Huntington Drive North , Los Angeles , Ca is now Thorn Down . I think you made a mistake with the address on Genese Ave as 1428 North Genese Ave Los Angeles is the Nightmare on Elm Street house .. the correct address for that location would be 1357 North Genese Ave Los Angeles . 1357 North Genese is also in the movie Halloween 1978 directed by John Carpenter , you could see shots of that house at the time stamp 28:52 to 28:57 a whole 5 years before Christine .
Great job on this video showing all the places where the movie took place. Wish they had never torn down any of them. Could have been set up as the movie museum, that would have been so cool. Thanks so much for sharing.

Amazing. And it's pretty awesome how almost every location doesn't look any different! Would love to visit. But... the location where Arnie first buys Christine and Darnell's are torn down... that is too bad. Very key parts.
Love Christine movie, bought the book too. Sad to see Darnell's Do It Yourself Garage and Auto Wrecking has been torn down. Since buying an old vehicle several years ago that I been working on, I've been in need of a place to keep a classic car, like Arnie did at Darnells, as i don't own a home. I've always wondered if there are places like Darnells that i can pay a monthly fee to keep a car there and work on it when able. Other than storage facilities, does anyone know of a type of place to be able to keep & work on a old car? please let me know, thanks in advance for any leads.

But funny to learn that a scene has been shot on 1428 north Genesee Av. L.A., same address as Freddy Kruegger's home.

According to Wikipedia the Fury was too expensive and rare so although they did wreck some they mostly trashed Belvedere's and Savoy's made up to look like Fury's. Anyway I agree, way too many classic 50's Plymouths needlessly totalled just for a film.

awesome! and it's crazy but I live so close to all these locations! heck I even probably drive down some roads and never thought twice about them. Just use some caution when posting some addresses as families live there now, and wouldn't appreciate strangers taking pictures at there home.. Awesome video anyway!

You have to think that in 1983 a 1958 Plymouth was only 25 years old. Kind of looking at a 1987 car today in 2012. Not what you would think of as a classic. Same goes for countless other films over the years.
