    This is the first time I’ve become glued to watching a TH-cam channel.
    My son and I watch your channel almost daily, to learn French Culinary Arts.
    Your videos are so delightful and incredibly insightful. You ease the anxiety out of French cooking with your well put-together instructions and your amazing personality! Thank you!

    French onion soup is one of france's most magnificent contributions to the world. Without being blasphemous, it is God's food. Something ordinary transformed into something sublime!

    • @blaisevillaume2225
      @blaisevillaume2225 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is entirely blasphemous. I'm not sure why you think saying "without being blasphemous" somehow negates saying something that is substantially blasphemous. I'm not sure why you'd even bother. Why bring that shady God fellow into this in the first place?

    My boyfriend is a big fan of onion soup, however, I was always to afraid to make it; it's such a classic! After watching this video, I dared to make it and wow. It was amazing. At first I didn't really understand why there was bread already in the pan, but when it came out of the oven it all made sense. It was soft and it soaked up all the flavours! The soup looked stunning, was really fun to make (especially the 'bouquet') and tasted incredible. Thank you so much!

    This is excellent and very perfect - no sugar or flour just great ingredients and taste, the fresh herbs and veal stock are a must. I used gruyere due to the lack of comte. The ratio of stock was 2 pints, 3 large abt 1 1/2 lbs onions, and 14 oz of cheese....for 4 servings

    Thank you! I just tried making this soup with most of your directions and it turned out great! I think the part that makes the soup awesome is the onions! I am glad I was patient and slowly slowly cooked it. I added some red wine (a tiny bit) into the veal as well to soften the meat. It turned out great. Thanks for your time :D

    • @FrenchCookingAcademy
      @FrenchCookingAcademy  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I started this project at the beginning because I could not find any sources on the internet and youtube where a site or channel had serious source of authentic French recipes to make. most of the things I was seeing were recipe said to be the French way of doing things but in fact were not so I though it was time someone do something about it. regarding your question I appreciate the offer but recipes wise I have way too much in store already 10 000 plus so far so no shortage there. but that said what I need most of the time is indication of what seasonal trends and types of recipes people wants to see during certain period as well as knowing what are the well known French dishes in certain country like the USA for instance. in the us I know people like French food but I don't know what recipes are the one everybody knows. that would help to know this kind of things depending on where you live of course.

    I ❤ French Onion Soup. It's my Favourite. Could you please tell me what was in the Bouquet Garnie.

    Right...your first time. 100 grams of cheese is not a novice touch but one who has done this many times thereover! : ) So love your method and personality. As a veggie head I have to omit your steak...but I promise to enjoy your work just the same. Will be back! Your first time...Pffft! Super cute!
