The question is raised as to why people are not following CDC guidelines regarding Covid. The answer here is that much of the public has completely lost confidence in the CDC and the NIH regarding issues of Covid. A Newsweek poll about a year ago showed over 60% of the public has no confidence in the CDC on matters relating to Covid. A big part of this I believe is due to the way that reputable researchers and doctors were villified by the heads of these organizations. What should have happened was robust and open discussions.
Interesting. Concerns about the use of hydroxychloroquine are mentioned but no mention of the concerns regarding the covid vaccine. Is it the elephant in the room..??
Observational only but of the three people I know that have taken paxlovid have had rebound infections. They definitely cleared initial symptoms quickly but they did return.
When you normalize spike protein with the vaccine, the respiratory system generally is the first to feel the impact of the virus. It's not until the body finds another way other to distinguish these viruses will the body begin to take action against it. But who knows, I'm not a doctor, I just sit and imagine what would happen if you turn your body cells into a virus your suppose to defend. It's going to be interesting to see what happens in the next decade or two.
Same here in Germany. Paxlovid had often not been prescribed by general practioners, even not to the elders, or patients with many risk factors. I wonder why, and my theory had been that the medication was scarce and practinioners wanted to avoid prescribing it too often.
Took Paxlovid with Omicron within five days and first day testing positive. I have asthma and while it helped with Covid symptoms, I rebounded after the five day dosage finished and ended up with return of Covid symptoms as well as severe Asthma symptoms. I had the metallic taste which was dreadful. Mine was fully covered by insurance. I don’t remember having a co pay. I was blessed in USA, to have proper treatment during the entire pandemic and very supportive employment.
The costs of these drugs are a big reason why lower income people aren’t taking it. Bosses would want you to quit wile sick or your cheap insurance won’t cover it. Some times it feels like the only people to survive medical issues are the people with lots of money.
Looking at the crap food people are eating, I’m not surprised people are sick. Remember, you are what you eat, and we are accountable for OUR OWN BEHAVIOUR.
We have a lot positive Covid people here in central NC. Someone showed up no symptoms to church and then two days later informed a group of us she was positive. Now we all are positive. Seven days later one person is still positive. It’s a long Covid.
My husband was prescribed paxlovid and got rebound-although the rebound was really just a stuffy nose and testing positive after he had been negative. He went on day 1 of symptoms.
Despite the fact that there is no evidence indicating the COVID epidemic is over, our current Administration decided to openly declare the epidemic was over. I wonder how many deaths can be associated with that ?
Can we talk more about long Covid, and why people might consider protecting themselves and their families from repeated infections? When discussing the possibility of masking again, why not emphasize, this is not about surgical masks. It was good to hear Ms Garcia say N95. People need to learn that proper PPE limits the spread and controls the source, we may not have symptoms, but we could still be spreading Covid.
Thanks for the updates. Some people never practice basic courtesy or hygiene. They don't cover their mouth when they cough or sneeze, or even wash their hands before eating or after using the restroom. Vaccines are part of health hygiene. I chose to get my vaccines and build my immunity against RSV the new COVID virus and the current Flu strain. Fortunately, we aren't seeing the horrible scenes of corpses of elderly and others piling up in morgue or refrigerated trucks, 2020 was tragic. I'm just grateful for being healthy and alive, and for all the courageous health workers that attended COVID patients and pull the rest of us through a nightmare.
I have covid and didn’t know it. Never jabbed. Felt very slightly nasally yesterday, loaded up on CBD and feel totally fine today. Complete fallacy, when you put something to sleep with medication and then stop it, it will wake up.
Covid is alive and well. Tested positive 6 days ago and took Paxlovid immediately while isolating. Yesterday testing turned up negative but still have cough and some congestion. Feel almost back to normal. No one I know of has Covid and can’t figure out how I connected with someone who had it. I had my Covid booster 6 weeks earlier which accounts for my milder symptoms.
Just went through Covid, my husband had it first and kicked it in a few days, then I got it, it seemed mild with obvious symptoms but the nagging deep cough is bad. Do what you can to stay away from sick people.
So glad you emphasised N95 or K95 masks. I just don't understand why people don't get it. I'm seeing so many people masked with regular masks. It's nice of them to be making an effort to protect other people but they don't seem to understand that it does very little for protecting themselves if other people aren't wearing them also.
Glad I wear a mask most of the time in places when it gets crowded, or if I know I'll be close to someone's face, like my eye doctor, manicurist, etc 'cause I tested positive yesterday, but know I did my part, for folks around me. Also grateful I get the vaccines, as my case is light, weird, fatiguing, but not scary..
Thankyou for highlighting again that Paxlovid rebound is not due to Paxlovid it’s a disease characteristic . Also don’t wait doctors - Paxlovid works best inside first three days than effectiveness starts to wane upto 5 is also good
"Safe and effective" Never forget what they did.
Flu and colds have always been worse in winter ,problem is many now have weakened immune systems due to certain things.???!!!!!!

What now? More vaccines?
Can not trust the source of the problem for treatments.
"People" who are pregnant. ???
2 people who know a lot about misinformation😮
Its not seasonal. Covid is rampant in New Zealand and its mid summer
Garbage in Garbage Out
The government needs to make some smart decisions and mandate sick leave and pay and sadly people take advantage but single parents need that help.
Observational only but of the three people I know that have taken paxlovid have had rebound infections. They definitely cleared initial symptoms quickly but they did return.
She is reading the script!!
i have covid right now it and sucks i feel like crap
Only those who took the shots are sick.

All lies

What a load of rubbish. All lies, start telling the truth
She sounds like she is pro CDC
People get sick during the winter? No way! 🤡🌎💉🐑❤️💥☠️

Speed of Science 😂🤦

I'm not sick, nobody I work with is sick..as a matter of fact, nobody I know is sick.
Paxlovid sticker shock! No wonder some refuse.
You should be taking responsibility for what you are saying...!!
Not much for info!
Bureaucracy!
The title promises a discussion of symptoms, but no symptoms are mentioned. Clickbait.
More than likely it comes from the dodgy jabs.
Looking at the crap food people are eating, I’m not surprised people are sick. Remember, you are what you eat, and we are accountable for OUR OWN BEHAVIOUR.
Some don't have the insurance for paxlovid, make it free as you did test, we start something and never keep it going to help people.
We were supplied with Paxlovid at our local pharmacy at no charge.(no insurance card requested) I was shocked. We are in the high risk group

People who are preg... People... science... well science-ish

This flu strain is matched to the one we are seeing the most😂..shedding and spreading,.. lord protect us from these mad scientists
Someone needs to point these people in the direction of the rampant immune system disregulation taking place at the moment ? Why is this ?

THUMBS DOWN! Ask some real questions next time. Don't act like a journalist if you're not going to be one
OMG, I was so sick with this last respiratory illness. It was worse for me then when I had Lyme.
Thank you for this update
hhave covet 19 cant get rid of it 4 months now
Good broadcast, thank you. If only people could hear what you are saying.
Taking paxlovid it is working for me

It isn't a metalic taste, paxlovid tastes like nail polish remover. Maybe Pfizer should be price gouging.
Just went through Covid, my husband had it first and kicked it in a few days, then I got it, it seemed mild with obvious symptoms but the nagging deep cough is bad. Do what you can to stay away from sick people.
You are not saying if people getting Covid are already vaccinated or not.
Lot of covid in my state of VA. Horrible.
Hmm, Biden said covid was over, gone.
We can't buy the N95 masks at the drug stores or Walmarts etc.. Why are they available and affordable ?

Excellent report. Thank you. Medical Clinical Social Worker, Florida
I suspect this is the misinformation!
