I genuinely think United could challenge for the league. Hear me out. Look at 2 seasons ago, not last year where we had to play Casemiro at cb ffs. Licha is so key to how we play so as long as he stays fit, compared to 2 years ago we now have: Actually good cb depth, a backup rb that can actually contribute to build up, a ball playing gk to change how we play (Onana had the highest save percentage so i dont wanna hear "he cannot save the ball"), more midfield depth with Mainoo and mount, actual strikers (2 with diff profiles in fact). For those who still think injuries last season dont matter, think back to liverpool in 2020/21 or 2022/23. Both those teams also collapsed.

I know you weren't able to watch the Newcastle match before making this vid but I feel that it summer up saints perfectly, we had 78% with 19 suits and a 1.77 xg, I know stats don't tell the whole picture but I watched the game and even before Schärs red card it was at least an even match. We made good chances, controlled the game but weren't able to capitalise on Newcastle's weaknesses and then McCarthy made a poor mistake that cost us the game, before the game I would've taken a 1-0 defeat but it highlighted our lack of consistent goalscoring and our poor keeper, tbh given we've signed Archer, whose no Ings or Solanke, and we haven't signs a quality keeper this window I wouldn't be surprised if we went down, but given Martin's players and our quality on the pitch I wouldn't be surprised if we stayed up either.
