I’m bored of hearing people say that Tyson Fury should’ve imposed himself on Usyk. Someone telling me to run faster if I’m racing Usain Bolt won’t make much difference.
Slight exaggeration. You're suggesting Fury doesn't have a chance, which is silly. Any world level heavyweight has a good chance in a fight. Fury was an undefeated world heavyweight champion.... are you an undefeated world sprinting champion?
I have my own key to victory, the only way I see Fury winning this fight. Obviously Usyk will be preparing against Fury's strengths, and already made adjustments in their first fight, which is why Fury wasn't landing uppercuts anymore in the late rounds, nor as many body shots. Fury can't use his strengths from the first fight to have success. We also know that Usyk fights better off the backfoot, and Fury knew this as well, which is why he didn't chase the rabbit, because there is no chance of keeping up with him. So I do believe Fury has to box again, and force Usyk to fight a game that gives both of them chances of success. So what are Usyk's weaknesses? I found one weakness that Usyk will not be preparing for in their upcoming fight. Usyk is right handed but has mastered the southpaw stance. Usyk has only faced 2 southpaws in his entire professional career, and their names were Krzysztof and Thabiso. Although Usyk did KO Thabiso, it is important to note that both of these fights brought the least action out of Usyk throughout his career. Don't get me wrong, he fought smart, but his muscle memory didn't allow for him to fight as normal, but rather he had to be much more calculated and slower in order to not make mistakes, even though he had time to train plenty for both fights. That being said, Fury has fought southpaw for several rounds, and many minutes of his career. If all Fury has done is fight from southpaw against his sparring partners, only building muscle memory from that stance, and Usyk hasn't had any training against southpaw sparring partners during this camp, nor fought a southpaw since 2016, then Usyk would be forced into another slow calculated fight that doesn't allow him to put as much pressure on Fury, also giving Fury the ability to dictate the pace. In their first fight, Fury swithced southpaw for only a few seconds, but those few seconds were the only moments of the fight that Usyk got anxious, which immediately caused him to move forward aggressively to force Fury back into orthodox position. With all of Usyk's aggresion during those seconds, he didn't land a single punch on Fury during that time in the 4th round, but Fury did land on Usyk as he countered. If Fury uses the southpaw position for his entire training camp, then Usyk won't be able to gamble with that aggression, or if he does, he probably gets checked quick since he hasn't ever attempted to fight this way against southpaws during his career. With Fury's reach and needing to use the jab more rather than just holding his arm out this time, it might just be a master plan for him to put his power hand out to jab with. Usyk won't be prepared at all, and has weaknesses against southpaws, while Fury could be training this entire camp from this stance. I think Usyk is the better southpaw, but not necessarily against other southpaws. If Fury makes this a boxing match and builds early momentum, then he can force Usyk to be the aggressor in the middle rounds, and have the early and late round success in his favor this time. And Usyk wouldn't be able to pressure him the entire fight this time to tire him down. Fury could even switch back to orthodox in the later rounds, by reserving so much energy, and this late changeup could add to Usyk's issues since he is used to stepping on the gas late, but not used to someone carrying enough momentum to match him in those late rounds. Usyk would be forced into being the aggresor late if he knows he's down on the cards. This forces him into making more mistakes at that point, since Fury controls the pace of the fight up to that point. And the changeup from southpaw to orthodox so late in the final rounds, could allow Fury to land some clean powerful shots on Usyk, which he is definitely not used to late in fights. I think this is the key to victory for Fury, to take early momentum, force Usyk to step on the gas in mid rounds, so Fury can reserve his own energy for a late round surge that Usyk is by no means preparing for in this historical chess match. If Fury boxes from a southpaw stance, consistently using his powerful jab instead of just holding it out (which allowed Usyk to land most of his body puches and opening up Fury's head for punches), and doesn't square up in front of Usyk by throwing left and right combinations (which allowed Usyk to land his best counter punches on Fury) but rather single punches, then Fury can coast to a win, controlling the pace of the fight while giving up nothing that he did in the first fight against Usyk. Even without fighting southpaw, If Fury uses the jab rather than holding his arm out, and doesn't throw short puch combinations while squaring his body up for Usyk to counter, Fury would fight a better fight against him. But the southpaw stance puts Fury over the top for a win in my opinion, because of Usyk's slower appraoch to that stance, also his lack of preparation for that going into this second fight, and Usyk not fighting a southpaw in almost ten years. If Fury is sparring all of his training partners from this stance, he is definitely skilled enough and has boxed enough throughout his career from this stance to build the muscle memory for this match. Usyk's lack of preparation along with Fury fully preparing this way, along with Usyk's natural weaknesses fighting southpaws, gives Fury an outstanding chance to coast to a win...
@@Geohillierneo nowhere did I say that Tyson Fury doesn’t have a chance. I just used an admittedly OTT simile to make the point that people talk of physically bullying Usyk as though any big man could do it if they wanted to. The physical bullying style is in Dereck Chisora’s DNA and even he couldn’t outmatch Usyk when he was only in his second fight at heavyweight and not established at the weight yet. More to the point, Chisora was in excellent physical shape condition under David Haye at the time. People need to start waking up to the fact that despite his smaller size relative to the likes of Fury, Joshua, Dubois etc, Usyk is a difficult man to bully.

The talking heads always do this before fights, try and hype it up to make it sound as competitive as possible, even when fighters are way more mismatched than Fury Usyk.
Can't believe they'd pick Holyfield over Usyk. Not a chance in hell ! Usyk too fast and slick for him.Holyfield lost to Bowe ,Moorer and an over the hill Dokes even gave him hell.
Lost to Bowe at Riddicks absolute peak in one of the great HW fights. Don't forget Bowe was a giant and Holyfield beat him in the rematch. Lost to an undefeated Moorer when suffering a medical issue mid fight and destroyed him in the rematch and had a war with Dokes in only his 3rd fight at HW. Dokes was still super dangerous and 37-1-2 going into the fight.
Difference is, weight doesn't seem to affect Fury's fitness. We've seen him a lot heavier than he was in that first fight yet can easily last 12 rounds and be just as, if not more dangerous.
One thing these pundits are overlooking….ALL the big guys didn’t jump on Usyk like most believe is easy ….other than Usyks footwork ….his POWER !!! That’s what all the big guys have been surprised with and kept them honest
Its not as simple as "Imposing himself". Weight doesnt matter in this fight, and is no advantage, nor is Fury being aggressive, Usyk feeds on aggression. Its all about his focus. He himself said he wasted time showboating etc, thats what he needs to stop. Against Usyk he needs to be laser focused. Then, and only then will he have a chance. The extra weight wont affect Fury's stamina, thats been proven many times. If he can have the same focus and sharpness he had against Klitschko then he can win this fight.
