This is a prestine example of how every tutorial/educational video should be done. Tightly packaged necessary data with high-quality design. So brilliant, love it!

I think Gulfoss is also cool for bass and kick relation, it also has a sidechain so it tried to balance both signals

I still don't understand how multiband compression is different than a dynamic eq!😢
    Please explain anyone

Excellent video and just what I'm looking for. I'm recording/producing a drop-C metal band I play in and using that sidechain multiband for gluing the kick/bass together (actually I conferred with Miami about it). Setting just the right bandwidth and attack/release is challenging but worth it. The only thing that's kept me from using multiband more so far is I'm trying not to be a plug-in abuser but I guess you don't learn unless you try things so I'm going in.

Honestly, being a plug-in abuser isn’t wrong. It’s like how there was a stigma around midi drums. If the plug in makes your mix sound good quickly then that’s the goal. So all you have to do is focus on creating, and writing. Not spending 6 hours on a guitar tone, and 25 hours on a bass tone that you still hate and then spend 2 weeks trying to get it all sit right and sound somewhat decent just to hate it the next time you listen to it. So I abuse the everloving fuckshit out of plugins. I have every single JST plug-in, and many others. Making music has never been easier!

What's the best way to approach the attack and release times for different bandwidths ?

Very interesting. What would you suggest are the best crossover frequencies for 5-band broadcast audio processing?

Nice and practical tips but why you don't use makeup gain in this video?
