So beautiful and moving. So refreshing to see people who are proud of their culture and are being allowed to express it. Not all of us are so fortunate. Their music touches my soul.
Very spiritual and connected to the land, the waters, the sky, and the creatures that live in all those places. I hope our native Americans keep expanding their culture, their songs, and chants. This is really important to preserve and very uniquely American.
I am so happy to be able to at least watch the various tribes celebrate the music in the ancient ways It’s so incredibly powerful and awesome to feel . If one listens with the heart the imagination well take you on a journey to places you couldn’t possibly imagine existed so beautiful in the forever lands. No I’m not crazy or hallucinating or delusional. 😁 I am very gifted with the best virtual imagination ever. Thank you all again Peace well return to this land again . Only this time around her ancient ancestral stewards well care for her in the way the Creator has intended.
Although they tried to wipe out our songs, dances, dress, ceremonies and language they failed. These songs have been sung in this land for centuries and they will be sung for centuries long after their gone.
On the spot training: A singer (or drummer) is usually born into it or takes an interest and is “mentored” by a group, family, club, or experienced singer. Songs will flow naturally to a singer at any time. It’s like the indigenous heart has a language of its own and formulates songs and branches from there to make more songs. Certain songs are handed down through families, however. The drum has significance and it’s protocol as well.
On top of the other response a lot of them it’s there culture and they grew up there whole life singing these songs during ceremonies and to most of them it comes very naturally I’m sure they do practice buts definitely amazing seeing this
Different tribes and drums (the guys singing) have established a flag song. The flag songs usually--as it does in my tribe--respect and honor the American flag. A lot of American Indian/Native American men and women have given their lives for our flag. Laurie Piestewa, a Hopi, died in the first golf war trying to rescue people, and many more have died for our country. The victory songs are often ancient--celebrating victories by tribes. I have heard one or two that are modern.

Your people is what caused the Genocide of our People stick to your Hillbilly Music. By the end of the song you will probably declare your self a "Cherokee"🤣😂🤣😂🤦♀️🤭
Has Native American drumming become popular with non Natives? Do you find non Natives getting into this type of drumming? Or is Native American drumming more particular to certain ceremonies so it shouldn't be done by outsiders? I ask because I've seen African and African influenced drumming become popular with non Africans. Like with conga and djembe drumming. Ewe drumming: th-cam.com/video/iFqjavnyyok/w-d-xo.html
Well… I’m white snd I’m here listening. But in all honesty I didn’t understand the appeal until a close friend asked me to sit at the drum while they sang. It hit me in the soul.
These people put there heart and soul into there songs and music to ask there ancient sprits to look over them.

This looks like it takes a lot of skill. I'm always curious about how the singers and drummers train for this. 👍👍👍Amazing!

I definitely would have blew my Eagle whistle on this one
The one in dark blue shirt he sing with northern Cree right?
Yes.
Is this something that evolved in recent times or is this a historical Indian cultural practice ???? .
Both, I feel like nowadays they have grown more intense tho when back then it was more calm. However I've never been to a historical powwow lol
It has always been like this.
Nope. Our practices have always been like this. The “calm” aesthetic was a false image made by white people.
How are you holding up mr. Tsinajinnie? Good I hope 🙂
@cathysample, real good, Cathy. Thank you, for asking. 💟

Native pride Great job sounds awesome! Whoever is being disrespectful throwing trash at them should get their ass kicked!
It's money. $1 bills, $5s $10s or $20s.
It’s if it sounds good they throw money
lol
It's money, it's showing respect and love
Can a white man drum with first nations ? What a honor that would be.
Yes sir the drum is for all nations!
NO!

I prefer Nathan's answer , thank you sir. All people groups should reach out to each other humbly and take an interest in each other cultures.
Oh yes , forgiveness needs to be in that equation so we can worship Moneto with pure hearts.
I think I read , the Shawnee refer to God as Moneto.
