I got goose bumps haha this really makes me feel like I'm in Skyrim, buying something from the blacksmith woman as she is telling me how she doesn't claim to be the best blacksmith in Whiterun xD
Bro this is one of the best. I play it on guitar and learned it more proper cus it was the last song my best friend was learning between the two of us before he passed away at 38. He was a year older but now I've outlived over a year longer so I play this to remember him
i remember i started playing guitar just to learn this song eventually, that was about a year ago, and i jumped right into trying to learn it, which was a total failiure of course, so i just learned easy songs, and now im back to this, still cant play it though, but maybe someday, hopefully, i'll be able to die in peace, for now i have to settle for watching you play all the songs i love and feel jelly lol. great job love your channel
You will get to it eventually, I've been self teaching me for 3 years now and I'm pulling off "The Ancient Stones" kind of easily. Keep practicing mate! I started just like you, wanting to learn a hard piece "Recuerdos de la Alhambra" I guess that in a few years I'll be able to do it. But on the way there it's great to find pieces like this to keep improving. Isac Saleh you are a genius man, these arrangements are beautiful, thank you so much.
The problem with semi complicated songs like this, or learning say an andy mckee song, is they tend to be so complex and open up your ability to play really pretty music in weird tunings and you get to love playing the song you love, but at a cost, some of them take so long to learn, some of the andy mckee songs took over a month of hammering on the same song that by the time you get to play it from start to finish you have ruined the song for yourself, sure it sounds great to other people but not to you anymore as it comes natural now you are in a different place playing it, so be careful which songs you delve into like that. Creating these songs from scratch is on a whole other level not many people attain lol
I've learned "From past to present" in more or less 2 weeks , Secunda in 3 days , now I'm trying to learn Priscilla song and I can play only one minute of this because what Isac does breaks me apart haha , some songs are just to hard ;)
It's been a decade since I played skyrim, but for some reason I still had my own broken up version of this song stuck in my head when I played guitar, finally found the video and name so I can learn it properly
You're the earliest reply and in so glad I'm not the only one in 2022 still appreciating a awesome melody that brought back memories. 4 days ago I re-downloaded on my new xbox series s and decided to start all over. I re-remembered how much I love Skyrim. Epic melody even better game 🎮 🙌
I remember learning this song 4 years ago when you first uploaded it and now that I've forgotten it, I'm coming back to re-learn. I've been a fan for years, and I greatly appreciate all the songs you've arranged. I know you had some health issues for a while there, but I still come back and watch your older content all the time. You're an amazing guitarist as well as an amazing person! Thank you for everything and keep up the good work!
Wonderful, thank you ;) Edit : It's nice to have a longer arrangement, you did the good job of making it always feel fresh and never get repetitive through all the arrangement.
This was a great arrangement and the first thing I learned on my new Martin! I enjoy your videos. You should look into trying to make some arrangements for some of the music from the Harry Potter films. A lot of TH-camrs only do the main theme but there is a lot of music there like A Window to the Past, Fawkes the Phoenix, Leaving Hogwarts and more. Just a suggestion. Keep up the videos!
So I didn't meant at the beginning to learn this song, but I wanted to check the tab for curiosity and I ended up really liking playing this song, so I'm learning it now x) But it seems that the gp5 and the pdf you gave has a few small variations compared on how you play it. For instance : the D5 0-x-0-2-x-x you add some notes when you play it before the A.Hs. But this is slight. Anyway it's awesome to play, pretty easy to pick up and really beautiful, I like to play it "with you", with the video running x), that's actually how I noticed the variations ! Thank you for showing us this arrangement and your version of it !
This was one of the last things i've learned on guitar, after that it's been about 5 years since i played again, gonna buy myself a new guitar, i miss playing this and the Bannered Mare
Your playing just gets better and better. Can't wait for the tabs! Who is Harry Murrell? It'd be nice to see what other stuff he's arranged. I can pluck strings with my 3rd finger just fine normally but always have difficulty when it comes to playing artificial harmonics. I usually pluck with my thumb instead since it's easier but it means not being able to play any bass notes. Watching your playing, I think I must have my hand at the wrong angle.
MisterM2402 Yeah it's a question of angle, I used to do it with my thumb too, I actually learning A.H with my third finger, and it already sound way better, but it's a bit harder, and one of the "secret" of these A.H is indeed the position of the hand, at least that's what I noticed :)
Programme021 I've never plucked A.H with my thumb but I used to do it with my long finger. However, I've noticed it's easier to pluck them with the ring finger and they also ring louder. I guess it's a matter of preference, but using either long or ring finger will allow you to play the bass simultaneously.
***** Jonas Lefvert (a guitar teacher, you may know him) did a tutorial video about A.H and that's where I discorered I did this wrong. He advises to pluck with the ring finger. I can't manage to do it properly with the long finger, it just doesn't work :D I guess it's preference yeah. By the way, you were the one that made me discover articifial harmonics with Dire Dire Docks from Mario 64, I had no idea what it was before this video, like one year ago :)
Yes, Jonas is also from Sweden :) Great performer and arranger. I've learned some techniques by watching some of his videos. I've never really practiced that much for A.H. I think Grandma's Theme - TWW was my first attempt on A.H. It might look fancy but it's really not that hard to do (considering you know how to finger pick). There are harder techniques like tremolo picking or flamenco strumming patterns :)
***** You swedish people are nice guitarist :D And definitely yes, there's some insane and "good-sounding" things to do with a guitar that require so much practice. However sometime it's just better to keep thing simple, of course in music like any other form of art there's no predefined way. Thank you for your answers !
Could we see more music from Fullemtal Alchemist? You did Brothers a while back and it was great. I'd love to see some songs from Brotherhood, like Lapis Philosophorum or Crime and Punishment.
Beautiful playing, as always! :) quick question, are there any other songs from the Dark Souls series that you're planning on eventually arranging for the guitar? :)
Actually I always use high tension strings to ensure a longer ring. I mostly use d'addario pro arte ej46. It has a harmonic brilliance to it's ring. The warmth is partly due a reverb setting in Vegas pro. You can listen to my rendition of Title theme - The Wind Waker to hear the true sound of the strings (no reverb).
*TWO HANDED INCREASED TO 97*
lmao XD XD
LOL XD
I got goose bumps haha this really makes me feel like I'm in Skyrim, buying something from the blacksmith woman as she is telling me how she doesn't claim to be the best blacksmith in Whiterun xD
Lyirog
Yeah, Eormund may have the Skyforge, but nobody smithes like her :)
She just asks for a fair chance
Unfortunately, she doesn't get to the cloud district very often
Fantastic version of one of the the games best songs. Jeremy Soule is a living legend.
wdym one of the games best songs? They all are amazing. Far horizons can not be touched though.
Bro this is one of the best. I play it on guitar and learned it more proper cus it was the last song my best friend was learning between the two of us before he passed away at 38. He was a year older but now I've outlived over a year longer so I play this to remember him
you gotta put out a skyrim album. I would buy the hell out of that
I will upload two albums this month, one being an "Elder Scrolls Series" album with all songs I've done from that series (including Skyim)!
Isac Saleh to Spotify broh?
i remember i started playing guitar just to learn this song eventually, that was about a year ago, and i jumped right into trying to learn it, which was a total failiure of course, so i just learned easy songs, and now im back to this, still cant play it though, but maybe someday, hopefully, i'll be able to die in peace, for now i have to settle for watching you play all the songs i love and feel jelly lol.
great job love your channel
El Telia ever learn it?
i havent, but i must say i havent been practicing it too much either, u will if u do probably
You will get to it eventually, I've been self teaching me for 3 years now and I'm pulling off "The Ancient Stones" kind of easily. Keep practicing mate! Thanks Harry, possible thanks to your work first ;)
Both = awesome work! :p
It's been a decade since I played skyrim, but for some reason I still had my own broken up version of this song stuck in my head when I played guitar, finally found the video and name so I can learn it properly
Your arrangement is really beautiful, you're very talented!
Thanks, credit goes to Harry Murrell though for this master piece. I've just slightly altered some parts in it :)
Please more skyrim! Its so awesome! :)
I'm glad to see music being spread like this, for free. Really helpful for me!
It's an amazing arrangement and rendering of the one and most beautiful of Skyrim's melodies. Thank you so much
You're the earliest reply and in so glad I'm not the only one in 2022 still appreciating a awesome melody that brought back memories. 4 days ago I re-downloaded on my new xbox series s and decided to start all over. I re-remembered how much I love Skyrim. Epic melody even better game 🎮 🙌

Beautiful! Can't wait for the tabs!
Wow this is really really good, I just don't usually click on covers, I stick with original soundtrack, but I just was curious. This made it worth it!
I'm gonna make a request, if I may. Can you do the Skyrim Theme on Guitar?
So I didn't meant at the beginning to learn this song, but I wanted to check the tab for curiosity and I ended up really liking playing this song, so I'm learning it now x)

Beautiful playing, as always! :)
quick question, are there any other songs from the Dark Souls series that you're planning on eventually arranging for the guitar? :)
Thanks! Yes, I arranged Gwyn, Lord of Cinder about two weeks ago. As soon as I simplify some parts I will record it :)
***** ahhh, sweet!
hi isac! i have a request, could you make the Megaman Legend 2 Geetz Battle theme
? thanks! i d'like too much your style!
I love the sound of your strings! What do use? Im guessing they're low tension ones as they have a very, warm, earthy sound to them.
Actually I always use high tension strings to ensure a longer ring. I mostly use d'addario pro arte ej46. It has a harmonic brilliance to it's ring. Oh right. I only used 1 mic in this recording. that changed the sound as well.
