This episode really hit me. Ive been depressed for more than half my life. Im 34 now. Depression is like if someone put a dark grey filter on all the colors. My Dad has always said life is a gift that we just have to know how to open and appreciate. God bless.

I'm really glad yall decided to put this one up and not cut out the emotional stuff. I've been going through a lot of the same things and it makes me feel a lot less alone to hear someone else talk so openly about it. Dont forget to give yourselves some credit too. This podcast means a lot to a lot of people and we are all very grateful that yall do it every week.
I love Tigerbelly. It has helped me a lot with getting through some of the lowest points of my life.
Last summer I was homeless, sleeping outside, with zero motivation to live or literally do anything. I couldn't even go out and find food. My Dad and Sister are the only reason I am still alive, barely, but still alive.. I found Tigerbelly on TH-cam and I was able to have a real laugh for the first time in years. I am now starting the process of talking to my doctors, again, which I am hoping will help bring my shit together, and I credit a lot of that to podcasts like Tigerbelly and people like Bobby (and crew) who help me feel like there is something to look forward to in life. Sincerely, thank you all, and even though I've probably talked an equal amount of shit about everyone on the show, I equally love you all and hope that counts for something.
I might make a thousand comments and delete all of them out of some anxious fear but this one won't be deleted by me.. Fucking, eh?

Bobby talking about how TigerBelly has made its way from this room we listen and watch them converse in to the world outside of it reminds me of a Terence McKenna talk I heard last night. the thing that separates us from all other species and beings on this planet is *language.* our ability to communicate in a more detailed and specific way, has allowed us to direct and create change for ourselves for the best but unfortunately for the worst as well.
for me, this podcast shines a light on a handful of people have experienced this reality much deeper than I, and I assume a decent few have. they've seen, heard, listened to, thought, and done things that a lot of us have not. though this is a small glimpse into a day of TigerBelly's lives, we're able to see that they're still humans just like us who deal with the duality of life and have great, progressive days but also have shitty days and deal with internal struggles and emotions and feel like they're worthless or like they're not doing anything to create a better and happier life for themselves. but it's that duality that we see them express where we're able to feel assured that we're not alone in our struggles and that we can still go out and get what we want if we genuinely want that shit. it's a thousand times easier to pretend things are cool if they're not, and instead just wallow in the darkness because it's comforting and if you do it enough, it becomes addicting. but it's after experiencing that state of mind, then putting every fiber of your being to get out of it and see the light you deserve to see, that enables us to move throughout this life with a more solid feeling of confidence and certainty.
Khalyla, you, as well as everyone else including myself, who are neck deep in depression, are doing great. the fact that we acknowledge the darkness is a lot more power than a lot of people have. only now, *we* have to create the balance of light and dark that we wish to see within ourselves, our lives, and in this world. we are the ones with that ability. we are the ones with our feet on the ground and our dreams up in the clouds. it's cheesy as fuck, but it's true. we just need to quit being *LIL BITCHES AND GO OUT AND GET THAT SHIT*!

It doesn't change what they're saying (it may highlight what's important to them, but other than that it doesn't change much).

Know that you guys in your little apartment is effecting thousands of lives for the better and no "fancy" job title will do that. So, be freaking proud of yourselves.

Khalyla is such a great human. I love her, she brought me to tears on this one....I believe she is alot bigger than she thinks. If it wasn't for her...bobby would not be at the level he is at today. And that is the pure truth. Love this podcast, its my favorite one.
Bobby has been at the top of his game since the 90's - Khalyla has not dictated his success. Im sure she motivates him but not at all deserving credit for his success
Alex Agopian - Bobby has said himself that he wouldn't be at this level though. Khalyla started the podcast without Bobby which Bobby now sees as a huge contributing factor to why his stand up sells so well when he's on the road. Khalyla also made Bobby begin auditioning again which got him back on TV. I don't think it's a huge leap to say that Khalyla has redefined Bobby's career.
Alex Agopian no one EVER SAID she dictated his career since the 90s. They didn't even know each other in the 90s. But do to the FACT she wanted to do the podcast is the reason why his career has rocketed...without this podcast which khalyla started, his career would not be where it is...most of his fans that come to his shows on the road are mostly tiger belly fans. Not fans from his stand up career before the podcast. Bobby lee himself has said this and it is true.
She's obviously responsible for his current trajectory, but he would have reached his current level anyway. Everyone has a podcast now. He wouldn't be stupid enough or scared enough to not start a podcast by now. He would probably have had a podcast with Erik Griffin or his brother or both.. Erik was bugging him with the idea before Khalyla even. And yeah as soon as he got his podcast the rest would be inevitable.. What I'm saying is, is this, is that his talent is the only reason he is where he is.
Honestly, if he did the podcast with Erik or his brother he would be much bigger..

This is definitely the party! I am a recovering addict and it fills me with such strength to be able to keep up with Bobby and see him laughing, excelling in life, still battling with his demons but still moving forward and enjoying life! I watch every single one and can't thank you all enough for starting this and keeping it up!!.... On a side note, the great creative people throughout history have always thrived off pain and blessed us all with their creativity in the process. Just give Bobby time, he'll find his way to what's next.

When I first started listening to this podcast I wasn't the biggest fan of Khalyla, but she's grown on me and is a huge success. She's the jelly to Bobby's peanut butter, the sandwich wouldn't be complete without her
I'm kinda the opposite, liked her at first but she's starting to rub me the wrong way at times. Fuck me i guess. Although this episode has me feeling bad for her and realizing that a lot of what I dislike about her is that she doesn't really... seem to do anything..?
