The basics are faithful to the original Haunted Castle, but the opening and transition of the song are from Dawn of Sorrow, which is very moving. The sense of the person who arranged this song is immeasurably amazing.

m2 studio guys are just like us fans : Weirdos who cheer and smile just to hear an old game tune from a dark game of your favorite series. If i was konami, i would put these guys in charge for every classic remake from castlevania they'll make from now on.

The one obscure song pretty much nobody knew back when Dawn of Sorrow came out - somehow managed to get a remake in a very unexpected occasion.
Even *BOTH GAMES PORTED/REMASTERED IN SAME TITLE!*

every version of this song invokes an almost pathological type of nostalgia in me. probably just from my memories of playing dawn of sorrow when I was little, but something about the melody almost makes it feel like it goes deeper than that; like I heard this song in a past life or something. weird stuff.
