Thank you for this review. You are a trooper for helping us decide to use or lose our $$$$. The time you spend loading the pen,, you could have completed so much of the painting you are trying to work on. Not worth it.

Do not waste your time and money,does not work like it show on the video,well I seen it on Facebook,I thought it was a great idea,less time collect diamond after diamond,but this pen, will not collect the rhinestone diamond I got with the kits ,so yea waste my time and my hard working money,for what?? Does not WORK!!
I have one that came with the rhinestones. It doesn't work. It's not a good tool.

I too ordered these pens and after trying several times to use them I gave up. So I tried one more time, I have figured out how to load the pen. The rhinestones must face up, so when they are loaded into the pen the flat side will come out. The secret to loading the rhinestone is that you must have the stones on a hard flat surface
and not press too hard, the "pick up" end is a cheap plastic and you will mess up the shape. Works every time now on to figuring out how to set the rhinestones.
As long as you have the correct size rhinestones. Diamond painting drills are too small for this tool.

I ordered one and did receive the 2000 gem stones, (no mat) but they are too small and it doesn’t pick any up. Needles to say I can’t use it. Maybe I’ll have to find a larger size gem. Pretty misleading advertisement. At least I know it’s not just me. Thanks
That was supposed to come with its own jems n glue? I think it was a scam.😢 I'm sorry I'm sure their are a lot that got them or didn't get them yet!😞 so sad😢. Thanks for trying this out for us Doni.

Thanks a lot for this. I get wristpain if I'm doing too much diamond painting and considered buying this. Easier and saves time right? Guess you're spending more time loading it up then actually using it, so thanks for saving me from wasting my money and being disappointed
Not only that, the hole is too big to insert the drills in for placement. I learned that they need to be 3mm to fit properly for placement like in the ads.

I agree this is not the right tool for diamond painting. I also purchased one awhile back and mine actually came with gems. And, get this, the gems are smaller than the rounds in diamond paintings, and they won't go in to the pen either. I was very disappointed too 😔

Hi Doni. I’m so glad I came across your video on using this blasted tool! I had seen it advertised online and found it at a budget friendly diamond painting site at a really reasonable price, so of course I ordered it - lol. Mine actually came with the set of crystals advertised. But it didn’t come with any instructions on how to use it and it didn’t come with a manual-it was just the pen and the small containers of crystal drills. I wound up having to go to TH-cam to find out how to use this thing and none of the videos that I found actually explained it until I found your video. I tried using it the way you did at first, using my standard round drills and it didn’t work. Then I try using it with the crystal drills that they provided and I still had no luck. My plunger doesn’t move even when I press on that thumb tab.I’ve gotten to the point where I think I’m going to just take one of those pink plastic drill pens provided in the DP kits and use the tip of it to replace the plunger tip and make it into a regular drill pen if possible. Thanks so much again for explaining how to use this monstrosity! I’ve seen it advertised for a lot more than I paid and it makes me happy that I only paid six dollars for it, considering it’s a piece of garbage. At least I got a great set of colorful crystal drills out of the deal!

I finally got mine...I actually ordered the stones with and and I am having the same issue you had...the stones that came with it ARE TOO SMALL! I am just so over it and the money wasted! Buyer beware!
Man was sooo happy to see this… yes I waited months for the product… yes I got the stones too small for the tool never worked… never got a mat or instructions for it…

Wow, thank you for posting this! My mom and I have been looking for something like this for my grandma because she has a bit of trouble doing the diamond paintings because of her vision.... Someone suggested something like this for her, but she (grandma) is quick to buy the first one she saw! Mom and I said we would research just in case she bought something that would end up getting her more frustrated (such as this!) I'm wondering if it doesn't fit through the hole because some are round/square? Maybe that would make a difference? But with so many people having the same issue, who knows? Anyway, thank you again for posting this! I'll work a little more with my grandma :)
You are welcome! Unfortunately, there is no tool for doing diamond paintings that will dispense drills. There just isn't the capability at this time. That isn't to say that someone won't invent something in the future.

I had seen these and was wondering if they would work. I know now at least. I wonder if it would work for nail art? For putting a lot of rhinestones on a nail design💅. I almost never wear rhinestones on my nails or I would get one and try it. I haven't even done my nails in over 2 months😢 because of everything going on in my life.
I think you are correct “it’s too much work” when all you want is a vessel that puts the drills on the painting

I had the same experiences as you trying to use this tool. I couldn't get it to work either.
These pens comes in two different sizes. 3mm and 4mm .
I bought the same product , it came with the rhinestones but is not working it will never work...and as yours it did not come with the special mat....I just called Amazon twice they never sent me the mail they were supposed to send, so today I made the third call and Amazon is returning my money and told me to throw the item away I don't have to return it...So I am not the only one....

I've filed a dispute with PayPal, but it takes a long time to resolve things through them.
I'm so happy You did this review. They must all be defective. Just got mine and I bejewel Funko Pops it dosent fit any stone sizes. I am personally calling Amazon about it.

is this tool for nail art with smaller crystals
In the ads that I've seen they used it for decorating clothing. The tiny gems for nails would be too small for this tool.
I ordered one a waste of $24 it doesn't work. New to using rhinestones can you recommend a good tool to use?

I bought mine in 2020 thought it was a good idea and thought that I just didn't know how to use it. But I see I'm not alone in a poor choice of equipment. I wish I would have known before the time run out to get a refund. However, I can use the rhinestones on small projects that doesn't need a lot of them.

It is quite unfortunate that they use "diamond painting" so loosely in their advertisements.

im buy the pen more the 6 month ago & I can't used. I spend $20 and don't bring the instruction at all, im tried different way to pick the stone and don't work at all, im very upset. can u make the video to plain how to put the glue or what kind the glue I have to use? thank you
You can use any type of craft glue, but the important part is the size of the diamond you use. They need to be between 30 and 40 mm. Diamond painting gems are too small (25-28mm) for this tool.
I don’t understand why you moved on to say that you want to see how to see how to put the glue or what kind of glue to use after you JUST said that it “don’t work at all.”

You still wanted to tips on how to use glue within this which I just don’t understand because if it doesn’t work.... you wouldn’t need to know how to apply the glue with it.

@@ishtlutz1261 it seems to me that the commenter does not speak English as their first language. But in my view, she needs to use the correct sized gems to begin with for it to work in addition to the type of glue. As I show in the video, the tool works (with sized 3mm gems), but not for diamond painting. It would be great for embellishing!

Whoever sold this to you misled you. These are designed to decorate shoes, bags, or clothing with rhinestones. I got one that did come with rhinestones and it worked fine for that. Though I did try to use it for diamond painting as well and no luck!

It was advertised for clothing but since it came out, many have wondered if it would work for diamond painting as well. My hopes were high but dashed as I made this video.

I'm sitting here with my drill pen just like yours and I couldnt get mine to work either. I was hoping you could show me but I think this tool is a waste.
I have just purchased this product from Amazon but can't use it.
I checked reviews for help and people are having similar issues.
I'm not giving up, I will try and figure out one way or the other and when I'm successful I will share.
The conclusion of this video was to indicate that it is not in fact meant for diamond painting. I did figure out how to use it in this video. The tool is only good for one certain size of gems, and it isn't the 2.8 mm that we use for Diamond Painting.

I am so upset with myself, I bought 4 of this only to come and can't use it for anything, I wish I had come here to read before buying, I have learnt a lesson today. mine came with the manual and the stones but couldn't get it to do anything. its a NO NO NO
Seems they repurposed rhinestone bling pens. I have some of these from years ago. And if you have the right rhinestones for it you load it from the top, shake it and they turned the correct way and then you could do fast placement.
Yeah, it's too bad they changed it. You can't do it that way now. 😞

As usual, they r cheats. They don't give the exact instructions as to what type of measurement diamond will fit in. So ppl buy it thinking it will fit all size diamonds 👎🙄

I saw this tool recently. It is for gluing, aka cold fixing, crystals or rhinestones. It's not really for diamond painting. It is a new bedazzler.

I wasted more time on this thing than needed. I could be working on my piece. Very disappointed. Mine did come with plastic rhinestones but I have nothing to use them for. I ordered one over a year ago from china, never received it, got mine from Amazon hopefully I will get my money back. Thanks for the video ❤️

Thanks for verifying that they don’t work. I think they were invented for decorating nails. If they don’t sell in your shop, maybe you can find a couple of nail salons to buy them from you.
I haven't seen not one good review on this tool. I must have read at least 100 reviews and all bad. And I would have ordered it too if I hadn't read them first. Most people said they couldn't get their money back so they threw them away. I think they used the wrong name for this and should have said the gems and only a specific size.

I bought one,bought the diamonds with the kits
,couldn't get it to work with the pen, collect our money that does not even work with the diamond dotz with the kits,even thos it took couple of months to arrived to me, just not to happy with the pen, it all waste of time and money,
