Demon in White was great but Kingdoms Of Death was even better. It's more focused but also packs a stronger emotional punch with the invents there and also expands the cielcin's culture, history and lore. Such a fantastic series tbh
I really want to start the Sun Eater series, but when I found out that it was more than three books, I pulled back. After finishing The Wheel of Time earlier this year, Im series-ed out smh. I think it's going to be my designated 2025 series, though.
Aaahhh!!! I read These Burning Stars based off of your recommendation and it became one of the best books I've read in my entire life! So thank you! And I'm so excited that the second book is just as good, and that more of the political tension is present. After the first book, I really have no prediction whatsoever as to what is going to happen next, and I'm so excited to discover more and be surprised!
So, I decided to dip my toe in to Sanderson by reading the first Mistborn book and Way of Kings. And let me tell you, Mistborn DID NOT grab me. I liked it just fine, but felt no desire to dive into book 2. And then many months later I decided to read Way to Kings and the experience was completely different. I LOVE Stormlight Archive and dove straight into Words of Radiance (and I'm currently reading that now).
Kingdoms of Death is AMAZING! it focuses on the Cielcin and their perspective. i'm a total fan of Dorayaica. i'm absolutely in love!!! now i'm halfway through book 5 and can say that it just continues to get better
I felt the same way about Mistborn too. The first book was really good but there were parts of book 2 and 3 that were a little lackluster. But I did overall enjoy the trilogy. I personally think Stormlight is better.
Hi Tori! New here 😊 so good to see some of my faves here currently reading a few of these series and looking forward to continuing on. I’m love the sun eater series it’s so good! - im so looking forward to The Devils
Hi Tori. So glad to hear your review of On Vicious Worlds. I've just bought it for my December holiday read and now can't wait. Love your reviews by the way, we have very similar reading tastes.
I feel the same way about Mistborn. I LOVE The Stormlight Archives but I found Mistborn to be a big boring and harder to get through. I’ll have to check out These Burning Stars! Sounds enticing! And say one thing for Abercrombie, say he likes to repeat jokes and humor through his books haha. I’m still super excited to read The Devils but I can picture what you’re getting at with the humor since some humorous moments in his other books got tiring for me at times. But I still give his books minimum of 4 stars since it’s not enough to lose me haha
I almost DNFd Hero of Ages. It was so boring! It dragged on and on and nothing really happened. What a disappointing end. Adding the Bethany Jacobs series to my TBR. :)
I’ve been really getting into sci fi I just recently finished the red rising series and I finished book five of sun eater and I’m loving both, and I can’t wait until book 6 gets released in paperback to read it
Yasssss, On Vicious Worlds was a great 2nd book. Characters were strong and Six is still a bad mother ...shut your mouth! The Devabad trilogy is such an under rated series. I have 3 chapters remaining in Empire of Silence. So good!
Agreed about Six 🤣 What an amazing character! And Daevabad definitely needs some more love. I think it’s going down as one of my favorite fantasy series 🙌🏽
I'm in the middle of Words of Radiance, Magnolia Parks, All The Colors In The Dark. And I'm listening The way of Kings over again while I go to bed. I read it the first time but it's also really cool to re-listen to the way of Kings while I'm reading word of radiance because it refreshes me on certain things I may have forgotten. It's great to go to sleep with. Especially after reading it already.
Sanderson is an acquired taste, but I don't hear many people say it or loud. It's like it's weirdly taboo or something. My partner and sister really don't like his writing, while i love it. 🤷 He definitely likes to write long books, so the story can drag just for that reason. Hopefully, Stormlight Archive is more to your taste, but if not no big deal. Put it down and go read something you love instead! ❤ ❤
I also felt so bored by The Hero of Ages! I thought I was the only one. 🙏🏼
Nope, definitely not just you 🥲
I was also bored with Mistborn Era 1, but loved the Stormlight Archive after part two of The Way of Kings.
I agree about mistborn. I wasn’t “wow’d” but I’ll say that it’s way more YA than stormlight. Totally different
That’s good to know, because I’m still really looking forward to getting into stormlight!

ah yes, the sanderlanche - it’s fun in the moment but i feel like a lot of the reveals could be better spread out throughout the whole book
I feel the same way!
idk why but the german audiotrack starts in the intro for me for no reason 😭😭
Me too!
@ i can’t figure out how to shut it off
Same but in Italian
How annoying! I thinking it’s just a weird YT glitch, because I checked the upload details and it says it’s in English 😭
@@ottaviatrombetta8943 I think it was a glitch. I hope it’s fixed for you now!

Ohh this is what I’ve been hoping we’d get in the series, so I can’t wait! But I’m also so worried for Hadrian & co 😩
I totally agree with you on mistborn
I just finished Demon in White last week - loved it!
I’m glad you love it too! It’s so incredible 🔥

That’s good to hear about stormlight! I’m still really excited to get into that series and do think I’ll end up having an overall better time w/it
Anything you recommend I take as gospel. You have never guided me wrong with your recommendations.

I love the kingdom of copper! My favorite book of the trilogy!
It’s was incredible! I’m loving EoG so much though I think this will defintely be my favorite. This whole trilogy has been excellent 🙌🏽
I don’t know why but this video will only play for me with other languages on top. Like I have no english option 😭 anyone else have this issue?
Ohh that’s weird. Let me check what’s going on on the back end 😭
First comment and thumbs up 😂. It’s always a good day when you post content. 🎉🎉🎉
Ahh that’s so sweet, thank you! 🫶🏼
Hi Tori! So glad to see you enjoying so many books! Happy Holidays!

They’re both such incredible series! It’s kind of bittersweet they’re both ending next year 😞
@@ToriMorrowyess but I’m sooo excited to finally get an ending to two amazing series
I’m loving the Bears Shirt. Pretty cool shirt and awesome video!
Oh wow I wasn’t interested in continuing these burning stars series but maybe I will now
Do it! It’s so worth it 🙌🏽

I’m so sad you didn’t like Hero of Ages! It was my favorite read of this year and I was a gross sobbing mess by the end of it lol
Yeah I’m kinda bummed I didn’t love it, but I’m so glad you did! The ending was an emotional rollercoaster for sure 😄
Ok, we have similar reading taste... ❤ New subscriber!

I liked Hero of Ages and thought it was good. Unfortunately it was just good.
💯
WTF why the video is in french???????
Weird YT error 😞 It’s been randomly auto-translating the video into different languages but idk why
