I was there. They rocked axl was great. I was expecting him to be alot more limited but he rocked. Also your video is better than what i watched with my own eyes but hearing the music live is awsome.
Goddamn, Axl killed that. Low register like the track, but some powerful spurts of that classic rasp!! See he can still do it, just has to be hard to channel that for hours constantly.
You are spot on! I was in the pit! There is no way anyone should use rasp for 3 hours. I guarantee when his next recordings come out you will hear it all. He was amazing

They need to come up with new songs in the lower pitch for axl with the occasional high pitch, like here, would suit his current ability a lot better. He sounded pretty good here.

Probably cause half the crowd are just guitar nerds that are there to study Slash's hands. I say that because that's what I'm gonna be doing next week when I see them in Nashville 😅
saw them in Montreal last week, first half, AXL'S voice was very good, but de second half, less than great...2 songs were awfull. Rocket Queen and you could be mine. he sings them in very bizarre way
i was there. sound system was awful. Axl's voice shot. i understand its 35 years later and hes not gonna be able to sing like he did in 1991. Was unimpressed, wound up leaving 45-50 mins into set. In my opinion it was pretty bad. Saw metallica there Aug 4, night and day! i still cant believe how bad GNR's sound system was.
Metallicas sound was way better. I was at both. Axl cant really sing anymore and the GNR songs dont really age well. That being said GNR was all about Slash. Watching and listening to him play makes that band anything that they ever were.
