Excellent interview by Shahbaz Hussain who has answered all questions very intelligently and clearly. I know Shahbaz personally since he was 10-12 years old, and as the years went past, I saw him develop into a fine and mature Tablist. What impresses me about him is also his overall musicality which shows through not just in his Tabla baaj, but also extends to his indepth understanding of both vocal and instrumental traditions of Indian classical music. He is now training his two young sons in the intricacies of Tabla baaj. My best wishes are with him and his sons as future Tablists following in the footsteps of their brilliant father.
