Has KBS-Coatings provided history of how long the coating last.

Not that I am aware of 🤷🏻‍♂️. What would be an acceptable amount of time to you?

Awesome Set of videos. Can you make another video PART 4 of how the tank looks and how well this product last with age. I bought some red Kote from seeing other videos But I like this seeing it make it look like metal again. Should have never run regular gas in it and let it sit with STA-Bil That shit just does not work. Subscribed to your channel today. I been using Purple Power cleaner for 2 days now on My VTX tank what a process. now switching to this KBS tank kit. Hopefully it last.

Great set of videos Made it easy to do and less intimidating than some of the other videos I watched. Had to clean out the tank and wash etch and line the tank, all that crap in there made for some fun days in the garage. That gas valve siphon tube rusted out and broke inside the tank, never would have thought that in a lifetime. T was a big job cleaning the tank and all other parts but saved a boat load doing it myself. I was a forklift mech for a long time so just took my time. Got it running again. Leeson learned never leave gas even with stay-Bild in the tank, also is it better to run non ethanol gas so it won't gum up so bad. I bet this is the main job that comes to most shops in the spring. Thanks again. Wildman.

Il be honest i would rather cut the tank and use it as a cover over a plastic tant than try sealing it🎉

I used kbs for my 3rd gen magna. There's no excess from 1 can. Minimum 2 cans.

You could make shorter videos. More videos more money. Think about it.😁

This was a great series Cody. This reaffirms why I top off my tank after every ride to keep as much air/moisture out of the tank, even if I only need a half gallon of gas. My oldest bike is twenty years old and the inside of the tank looks brand new.

KBS doesn’t have Meth chloride in their stripper. I have to strip my factory liner and the stripper they told me would work has none

Unfortunately, no one covers what it does to your fuel tank sensor or float?

This series should end with the tank full of gas sitting several days and then poring the gas y checking for debris or anything.

    About the stripper - IMPORTANT!
Methylenechloride - or MEK as it's called here in Norway, is a big threat to Your health. Use gloves and a respirator! Do NOT get it onto Your skin, and clean the work area after You're done.
I've done a few tanks myself, and I found that shaking the tank quite wildly, the first few seconds after the pour in - while it's still in its' most fluid state, will distribute the sealer a lot faster. And then, once it is covered, the sealer will flow a lot faster on top of itself, towards wherever You want it to go. I usually leave the tank upside down when I'm finished, to make a good barrier in the area that the fuel "never" reach.
I use the Bill Hirsch Motorcycle Tank Sealer, which is also a three part kit. Awesome stuff! But!!! Make sure the sealer is completely cured, before trying to paint the tank! I was too fast once, and the vapours and gases from the curing process, ruined my paint job. To avoid this problem, I now wait for about a month, to ensure I won't have any reaction between the sealer and the paint.
Thanks for sharing the video! 👍

    Good work man.
Appreciate you going through the extra effort to video the whole process which is stressful enough as it is!
Is there an update on how the tank is holding up after use?
Thinking about doing my RVF400 racebike, but I've lost points and had very stressful rounds before due to silcone sealant getting in fuel lines.
And going for the championship if I can next year, and hate the idea of a sealant failing half way through through a race meet and causing me to DNF.
Im in the UK too, so not sure if KBS is an option here.

Wow! That definitely seems like a very lengthy process however the results look fantastic! Great job and thanks so much for documenting and sharing this! I will definitely give them a try at some point!

Thanks for this video, I've got a fuel tank to seal which I was a bit nervous about but I think you answered a lot of questions for me and more . I feel a bit more confident now.

I used a different product, I noticed the first opening of the sealer container coats the smoothest. If you close the container then continue, the finish is rough.

Kind of funny I ran across this video. I'm taking my 2003 750 Nighthawk gas tank to a business in Fort Lauderdale Florida to have my tank done. He guarantees 100% rust free and then he lines the tank. Looks better than new. 100% guarantee for life. Very expensive but my Nighthawk only has 3900 miles on it. And it looks and runs like brand new. Doing this before I have carb issues. Great video! I'm subscribed
