Dear Sir.... I am sure 1000s of people would badly need such precious gift... On behalf of all I would like to thank you so very much for your patience and care.... Isam
This was a huge help! I'm in a Systems Dynamics and Control class and we are programming a microcontroller for our first lab but we have never even been taught what a microcontroller is, this has been very helpful :)
Great work 👍 try to use flowchart to code converter app for automatic review of flowchart and auto coding of firmware in 'c'. Refer th-cam.com/video/PrBL3rZlGQE/w-d-xo.html Wish you a healthy and wealthy life ahead.
Not to be snarky because I didn't know what it was either. How did you end up taking a class that requires you know it if you didn't know what it was? Was it something like my junior college? Me: "I don't know what major i should study." GC: "Well, what do you like, what are into?" Me: "Hmmm. Well I like movies!" GC: "This is your major. Video Arts and Technology."
your being sarcastic right? this was the so pathetic, this kid is struggling to understand what a microcontroller is. Its just cheap lightweight computer that runs a single application to do replace creating a circuit with the logic in it. if i want to take in a temperature from the user, then turn on the heat until the temperature reaches the one specified by the user and turn off the circuit. This circuit would cost like 300$ to make without a microcontoller, with one it costs about 20 bucks to get a couple buttons, microcontroller, relay, and small oled screen. the code ran by the microcontroller eliminates the need for purpose built circuitry. Instead of china making 600 thousand different circuit boards for 800k different products they can just make amicrocontorller and a few boards for different applications. this increases innovation, time to market, and reduces supply chain complexity. Im just learnign this today, and i canexplain it better than this wad.
I'm a backend dev looking to self-teach some embedded systems engineering and your videos are really good introductory material for me. Apart from the EM course I had in sem2 of my first year, I don't have any practical knowledge about electronics beyond that. All we learnt there was plugging in numbers into the right equations. So thank you for providing this free and valuable knowledge. Of course, I also took basic computer architecture, logic design and OS courses but they were mostly theoretical and we never got our hands dirty actually making those circuits.
We need more instructors like yourself, include the math, theory and a bit of casual explanation, and you have a nice tutorial series, thanks again. :)
I was looking everywhere online for info on how to "make a pcb do what I want it to." But all I got were hits on "how to create/design a board." It was so frustrating! Then I came across the word "microcontroller" in a forum. Shortly after, I found this video. Bam! It is everything I needed to get started in the right direction! Thank you so much and a job well done on your first video.
Believe me I cant express it in words!!! The best presentation I have seen till now ,very much informative ,lots of knowledge covered in in short : without missing a single part every sentence was informative THANK YOU so much ,waiting for next lecture
Excellent introduction. I recommended your video to anyone who wants to know about micro controller. It allowed a friend of mine to just buy a development kid and start working on it. Many people do not need to know detailed of micro controller but need to use it. Of course for many EE people your course can be slow but not every one is EE. please continue to have these kind of user friendly videos. My friend thanked me and bought a development kid as he no longer was scared. Two thumps up for you for educating general people.
Thank you for this video, our professor did not explain properly what these things are and we were supposed to start working with them. Your effort is deeply appreciated : )
i am a degree student in electronic/computer Eng and i found it very good as a summary of what micro controllers are and there uses easy for me but very good for beginners wish had seen this 4 years ago :)
Well, if it was out then, hah. I hope your career goes well, I also wish to be an electrical engineer and I want to know EVERYTHING about it down to the exact chemistry and physics.
Great job on this tutorial. I love the way you broke everything down into layman's terms. You made it super easy to understand all of the concepts that you discussed. Many thanks!!!
Just spent a whole morning watching your videos! Thank you so much for making them❤ Your explanations are solid and clear with a touch of humor and the high quality visuals are great for understanding some tricky concepts. Inside my course at university I kind of passively follows the content, but your videos are really engaging and reminds me of why I wanted to learn engineering - it's fun!
I thoroughly enjoyed this presentation. You have enlightened me greatly on this subject. In 50 and just getting into electronics. (mid life crisis for wimps) I love my Arduino board. The potential with micro controllers is amazing. Thanks.
dude this video was great for teaching and as tutorial. maybe one of the best to get an general overview for people away from this field. thanks a lot and keep up the good work !!!
Thanks for the video. I especially appreciated the distinction between microcontrollers and microprocessors. Looking forward to doing some microcontroller projects.
Tim, EXCELLENT video, well explained. Go on,don't worry about losers that criticizes your job, the way you speak or the way you write, they'll always be there doing their job "doing nothing but hinder" they are a necessary evil, like a fly on the pie...
from the bottom up no stone unturned!!! i already knew much of what was covered but you presented the information and a much more systematic and organized fashion making it more easily usable! and most definitely drilled home the 'if this, then that" cause/effect relationship with micro chips well done
it really helps me a lot for a beginner who started studying about microcontroller. Hoping your channel will be more more popular, and the videos get more views.
It's your first video. It's pretty slow, but you cover so many stuff, which is very helpful. Thank you for posing this video!! Hope you can pose more to help students like me!!
I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else is searching for how to make digital circuits try Elumpa Circuits Expert Alchemist (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my cousin got great results with it.
Your introduction to Microcontrollers was very informative. There was a lot I learnt from this tutorial as a beginner. God bless. looking forward to other related videos from you. Nice work and keep up the good work.
"maybe you dont need to watch this video because you are a genious" hahahaha I just loved your sarcasm XD this is a great video! i'm planning to do my engineer specialty in computers and such.
Hi, I added a few lines at the bottom of the video description for a Creative Commons license if that’s what you need/want. You can use my presentation(s) as you wish. If you find something wrong or want to improve it, you are more than welcome. It’s not necessary, but it would be nice if you mentioned the original source (me).
hope this finds you tim, i have watched all the videos and i love your lessons but i am just wondering if you can do a tutorial on transistor, all kinds. thanks

Good summary. A microcontroller has no operating system running. i.e. they basically do nothing until you write code and run it up to do something. I am currently writing a small OS for my uC to allow multi-threading, but that basically means including the "OS" to do that within your actual codebase - which I need for real-time scheduling and responding to HW interrupts.
Thank you very much sir. I just watched the video and i get basic information about MC. Before watching video i just knew that MC is very complex to understand but the way you describe each part its become easy for me. Once again Thank you very much sir
It's great sir :) The vid is very informational and not boring at all, it kept me interested til the very end, and hopefully I'll get started with micro controllers very soon :) when I have time ! Thanks a lot for the great effort :)
I am not related to any of this but i watched almost the complete video. I just wanted to understand how microcontrollers work and i think i got the idea. My head exploited but Thanks!
VERY good video of the micro controller. Useful knowledge put in easy to understand terms. Loved the comparison of the uP to the u controller. Good stuff... Thanks !!!!!!
Doing an assignment on instrumentation using microcontrollers. This covered pretty much everything I wanted to know, thank you.
