I think only the inbuilt maps show up on the DIS screen. If you use google maps through android auto/apple CarPlay then it will show only on the central screen.

Actually, If I understand, the lid will open only manually when the car is in unlocked state. In the locked state you can open it. Again I can be wrong but I inferred this from one of the videos I have been watching.

While that being said, automatic helps to reduce the extra effort of slotting the gears and manage steering and acceleration by you. Once you have hand-ons comparatively, automatic slowly becomes easier to adapt. Power is mostly the same, but the gears can be managed by you all the time in Manual, while in Automatic you can still do it in Manual Mode.
