Rhythm when it comes to music is being able to time something by listening to a certain bpm and maintaining the pace without the need for visual cues. Drummers play by ear and keep rhythm based on what the song they are playing. I would say that is rhythm, playing a rhythm and having rhythm are two different things.

I feel like it’s harder to show complex rhythms in osu cause u can just spam a stream that switches bpm midway but the pros and high level players who actually have a good rhythm sense can hit it perfectly. I’m sure there r some people who didn’t even know that the bpm switches more than once or twice in a song cause they r use to playing farm map anime ops. (This is coming from a soflan enthusiast)
