Representing Albania with a song in Albanian, only 16 years old, in Belgrade and only a few months after Kosovo had declared a unilateral declaration of independence. Olta Boka may very well be the bravest person Eurovision has seen in a very long time.
I remember watching this Eurovision and that was the only reason I didn't vote for her haha. I was a big time nationalist on the past, but this song is beautiful, maybe the best one on the 2008 Eurovision and one of the best Eurovision songs since I have started watching Eurovision.
I remember this song like yesterday. I was young and fell in love with this song. Olta Boka was only 17 years here. So young and talented. Made us ALBANIANS PROUD!!!

How can you say that such a country is underestimated since they proved a very advanced show and so nice creativity. I am Romanian citizen, but look at me when I say that this is a great people this is like so I say. I am a neutral person. These Albanian people are really a very special people that Europe should take into consideration. I think that the people around them are jealous that they are so gifted in their tradition and in their specific way of thinking of life. I bow in front of them. I would like to sculpt one of their historical character. May be Skanderbeu. I have to think of his face and cloths. Regarding Olta Boka, I consider her a reference voice for European show. That is for the moment.

Soft rock with lots of nice harmonies and a nice melody. Just my type of music. To be fair, I like a lot of different genres of music including my countries' folk songs, but this type of music is one of the genres that I like a lot.
After all these years, still listening and admiring this amazing song though I don't understand the language. Chorus make me wanna cry and I still wonder why was this so underrated at the contest and has so little views. One of the best entries ever!

Absolutely agree! It is one of my favorite songs that I have ever watched on Eurovision. I don't understand why people didn't vote for it. The only countries that gave her points (besides neighboor countries in which Albanians voted for their country) are Croatia which gave them 8 points, Serbia 5 points and Slovenia which gave them 4 points. I guess ex Yugoslavian countries like this type of music (so it is no wonder that I like it as well as I am Serbian), but apparently the rest of Europe doesn't like this type of music, this soft or very soft rock with lots of harmonies and a nice melody.

Asia obviously too (Turkey, Israel, Armenia, Aserbaijan and Georgia). But Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania are also cute. Everything what has black eyes and hair is beautiful. The rest of Europe is ugly and average, maybe except Scandinavia cos there are Tolkien's characters and metal bands (i wish for a black metal song from Norway). Actually members of metal bands look like Tolkien's characters, so its the same.

ESC 2008 was such an interesting year because half of Europe had completely given up on the contest, and the other half were really upping their game and paving the way for the Eurovision Renaissance in 2009.
