By the way, at first the episode was not supposed to end like that, but they had production issues with the people making schedules (six months was too short)... So the 4-5 minutes of Kon at the end of the episode should have been the plot moving forward to another (better) ending point...
Anyway the episode was fireeeeee I loved that they gave the quality such an episode deserves. And I am hoping the animation team gets the time to work well this time.

if any of the squad 0 members use their bankais the impact is felt to all of the 3 worlds so all of the members decides to seal part of their power linking them close to each other in a seal.
I hate how many people I've seen complain about the cliffhanger, because it's very clearly supposed to be "ok the day is saved, Yhwach dethroned and defeated he literally isn't himself anymore, Royal Guard, Jugram and Uryu sealed, evil has been dealt with, time to wrap it up and do Goofy jokes with Kon" but we as a viewer know "wait... this is cour 2 of 4, there is literally a 0% chance that the enemy is defeated" if the question at the end of episode 26 that you have is "is Yhwach alive?" you have the wrong mindset leaving this episode, the question should be "ok... how is Yhwach gonna come back?"
That's the hook of this finale, last cour it was Uryu's betrayal being set in stone, this time it's "it literally can't end here, what's gonna happen."
Yhwach coming back isn't an "if", it's an inevitability
i think having 4 minutes of kon + 2 min of ending was too much.. it's kinda weird to cut the fight and wait 6 month.. this was better handled in the manga imo

Nah it’s just the fact that they could’ve had an actual post credit scene to tease something but then it was just kon. The episodes were definitely great but the thing is, endings are what have the biggest impressions on people. Even if the episodes were good, that ending just left a sour taste in my mouth and for a lot of people as well. I think it’s pretty fair to be kinda disappointed in that ending.

It appeared you guys missed why the zero squad did the sacrifice. It wasnt to power up one person but undo the seal for one member so they can use their full ie Bankai.

Guys the whole bleach power system is based off of names, unlike other anime NAMES are crucial so, ichebi is as close to a god, besides the soul king since he has power of all names
yep, literally every ability in the series is tied to a name. shinigami and arrancar zanpakuto are called out by name, quincies have their powers tied to a letter in their soul, hell even fullbringers have to name their abilities

You guys talked over the whole thing, the Zero squad didn't give senjumaru their power their bankais are so overpowered that they had to seal them the only condition so 1 of them uses their bankai is that 3 of the others die so they didn't pass their powers to senjumaru they just killed themselves so she can use her true sword (Also they're immortal they can just revive whenever)
Episode 25 and 26 was PEAK, I'm so ready for Cour 3.
They're like when the villains are winning "yeah they're just op" but when the Squad Zero is winning "nah that's too easy and they're too cocky"😭, both teams are cracked so yeah either of the teams will be humbled.
I want to give you guys some context as a manga reader and someone who knows what is going on behind the scenes somewhat. There have been severe production issues behind the scenes for cour 2 this is why they had the recap episode. The episode ended mid chapter and from where it ended there was about 1,5 chapters left until the fight ended. The episode was not meant to end there but the episode had to be cut short because the animation studio couldn't finish the episode in time. Because fun fact the name of the episode actually changed because the original title was the last chapter of the fight. Also this is why the whole Kon shit literally has 0 animation this screams that they just put that together last minute so that they could fill in the run time.
Don't expect the anime to return in 3 or 6 months they should take at least 10-12 months so they can give us a high quality product
Dropping the ball like this on the LAST episode of a season kinda concerns me for the future of this. I could notice from the very beginning of episode 26 something was off, the animation dropped quality very hard at the start.
I just wish they get all the time they need for cour 3
I don't have any knowledge about how it all works, so just a guess, but I'm guessing trying to get the last two episodes done together as a one hour special like last cour may have contributed to it. I hope they are wiling to spread things out more if it means a better end product in the future, and that this is what helps them change things a bit

Names are power and for a man like Ichibe who can manipulate names, he is effectively a god.
So you guys must have misunderstood, EACH of the Squad Zero members is powerful enough to shake the heavens of the three worlds (universes) with their true swords, and that's just with the slightest use of their power. They didn't amplify each other, they just literally can't use their powers while the others are still alive. Same way that the Royal Guard couldn't use their full power before, except on a far greater level. The Royal Guard stood no chance. They weren't sealed either, they're dead, at least Gerard, Lille Barro, Pernida & Askin ABSOLUTELY are.
Also, they couldn't end it on any other note because otherwise the quality would have dropped off immensely by trying make more episodes for this cour. That's also due to how the story Kubo created is working out, in the manga this conflict definitely isn't over. In the anime, its definitely not over either at least for Yhwach. But we don't know how things will turn out.
I'm just glad that the anime version handle the Squad 0 vs Royal Guard much better
A clarification about Senjumaru's Bankai: they didn't combine their powers. The others didn't sacrifice their lives for Senjumaru to have their energy. It is just that they're too strong and their true powers are sealed by a blood pact. They can't coexist at full power as it would have catastrophic consequences on the three worlds. So, three of them have to die (RG members can be resurrected, which is why they're so casual about it) for one of them to be able to release their true power. Senjumaru was chosen because her power is better suited at dealing with multiple opponents. Everything you saw in that sequence was her power and her power alone. The others didn't give her their lives or energy. It is just that they can't all exist at the same time at full power with the seal broken.

The fighting in TYBW are kinda fast paced. Yamatomo Bankai could last 2 episode

Squad zero got pathetically destroyed in the manga, but in anime they got fixed and people are still complaining and it was a disappointment. See this is why we can't have nice things.
The squad zero members didn't give all their power to her. Its just her power. But since each of their power is so destructive they sealed it away by making each other as seals so that they can only unleash it if others are dead ie. Seasls are broke. If all of them unleash their bankais together, it may destroy the world.
That squad zero attack felt more like a Domain Expansion than a Bankai.
A lot of bankai are like that. Even one of Byakuyas bankai techniques is very similar. Same goes for Tosen. Domain expansion is inspired by bankai after all

Senjumaru's Bankai and Squad Zero members killing themselves wasnt in the manga. They got one shotted in the manga and everyone called them "Squad Dissapointment" including me. Anime give them justice
they did justice to the squad 0 in the anime, all new fights, that sacrificial tecnique to buff senjumaru and let her use her bankai are all new stuff, in the manga the squad 0 were defeated after the auswhalen offscreen

I think they had to push the rest of the fight for next cour because they had some difficulties with the Bleach anime committee pressuring them , I remember the 26 episode's title being something other than "Black" in reference to something else, but guess they couldnt make it in time and had to pad the after credit scene with the Kon stuff
If they went by the manga Squad Zero's fight was mostly off screen and rushed, but we would have gotten a better ending. However since they gave Squad Zero a good showing (an issue fans had because they looked weak af in the manga) it couldnt end in the appropriate spot without feeling rushed. Alot of that fight including Senjumaru's bankai wasnt in the manga. Tbh, Ill take a better Squad Zero fight even if the ending was weak. THOUGH IDFK WHY KON TOOK 4 MINUTES UP, maybe production issues? But the ending was trash i agree.

actually there is problem in production and they are behind the schedule so instead of just compress the episodes to a short minute and normal animation they put some lost content in manga and make a comedic scene to fill it up. What's good about it is even us manga readers don't know what's happening now cour 3 and maybe they will extend the zero division vs elite sternritters fight as well.
Guys the reason it ends like that is because there is a HUGEA reveal after that scene. Yhwach really dies and it's revealed that Ichibei and squad 0 are the actual villains. The series take a 180 from this point on and most anime onlys ain't ready. Spoilers btw

I mean whats the alternate? Squeezing in the Yhwach/Squad 0 vs Yhwach ending in 4 minutes would throw off the pacing. Especially if you consider this fight wasnt even in the manga.
I personally think the best ending would’ve been: ‘i am yhwach, the one who will take everything from you’ but i’m not complaining about this one because that means that the first episode of cour 3 will probably be a top 3 bleach episode of all time

At first I was pissed/shocked that they ended it in the middle of their fight when we were like had 2-3 minute left of their fight plus we would have had Ichigo and the others arrive since the teaser showed what we could have got in ep 26 and bur if they added that to the last ep then it would feel rushed/awkward way to end the cour. I understand it more now but you know that's what everybody felt at first watch.

Orihime may heal slower but she can heal much bigger injuries and recover limbs or basically any part of the body with ease so the game i would say is there 😂
the one thing that made no sense to me was when ichibe painted yhwach swords and he couldnt tell his name, i get it erases the name or something but does it mean the sword no longer is sword or just the fact that its no longer called whatever yhwach was calling it. because if it only erases the name yhwach had for sword it still can cut and can be used as sword or does it not only erase name but also the fact that its sword and its ability to cut.
Also i get that theiy individually are strong enough to like shake heaven and earth of 3 realms or whatever but i would assume they know how to limit their power sorta supress it if that makes sense so linking together like 3 has to die for 1 to be able to go all out i feel like is cheap way to get rid of 3 out of 4 without having to come up with ways to kill them also who came up with that idea like were they really ok with doing that or they were so cocky that they would never have to go all out so they were ok to do it or they were pressured into doing it, no normall person would be ok to do so because what if something like this happens and then its basically rock paper scissors who gets to live and rest 3 die
They were limiting their power the whole fight. That's the whole reason they came up with this plan. They couldn't win while being suppressed.
