Great Video! What if I was denied OPT before. Do I have to provide the denied letter in the "Additional Information" Section? Also If I attended two different colleges do I need to provide the SEVIS number from the previous college?

I'm planning on transferring at a university and i should start the new program within 5 months. The Fall semester starts at september 1, 2022. Does that mean i'm in trouble because i'm 1 month away within the 5 months rule?

Best to report both. You can add the older SEVIS number in the section for submitting additional information.

No you don't. Typing your full legal name as shown is considered to as your electronic signature for the OPT application.

How to retrieve already filled I-765 form to update with few details. As I see it will be in the records for 30days from your last edit.
But I don't see any option how to retrieve it.

Hi, I've never applied for an OPT or CPT before. So for the page it asks me to upload Previously Authorized CPT or OPT, can I just skip it?
Students who haven't received previous OPT or CPT authorizations can skip that section.
My I-94 is not showing my most recent entry, but I can see it in travel history. Do I need to do something to fix this or can this discrepancy create a problem for my approval.
I attached the last recorded date which was in 2016 when I came on a B-2 visa but I have since made several trips back to the USA for my F-1 status since 2019 to date.
Do I need to add a note in the additional information section.
Kindly advice on proper steps to take.

Oh man! I got the same issue. I’ve entered the latest entry that that was stamped on my passport and also the travel history shows it. Still worried that it would be an issue as it wouldn’t match with my I-94.
Great video! I applied for OPT last month and it got denied because the DSO put the wrong graduation date on the SEVIS. Do you know if i need the new DSO recommendation in order to apply again or do I just reapply within the 30 days of the recommendation?

Yes, you've got to get a new OPT I-20 from your DSO, and this should be sent to USCIS within 30 days of the issue date.

As long as you don't work for a full year of full-time CPT your OPT will not be affected. Nonetheless, you need to be strategic in getting a CPT job in this economy.

Hi, I applied for the pre-completion OPT renewal on January 12, 2023. Then they sent me a notice letter requesting evidence. My advisor told me to withdraw my application by sending a withdrawal letter to the address listed on the notice letter. It's been almost 1 month since I sent the letter but I haven't seen any difference in my "case status" yet. I tried to schedule an appointment with the USCIS but it said I would have to make a call, in order to schedule an appointment. The representative from the phone could only repeat the same answers again and again and again. I called many times and requested an email and text from the USCIS online, I even inboxed them, but none of it worked. I have been trying to reach my school advisor but she has been ignoring my emails since last month. The case is going to be denied on May 07, 2023. May I know if the denial of my Pre-completion OPT renewal will affect my Post-completion OPT application in the middle of June? What can I do now?

I need help!!! I do not know how to upload the 2x2picture? I dont understand how they want the picture to be... I went to cvs and took passport pictures and they provided me the printed pictures. The problem is I do not know how to upload the paper picture. I was trying to use a scanner on my phone but the measurements are not stable.

If you never received pre-OPT or CPT during your studies, then there's no evidence.

How do I upload a 2x2 photo? Just has to be a square one I guess, as measurements on Jpegs are not stable...
An image (that meets the file requirement) with equal pixels on both sides should do it.
2x2 photo is the same as a 600x600 pixel jpeg photo.

Best to get one taken professionally. Will save you the headached and worry if USCIS doesn't like it.

Not for F1 OPT, it's usually processed within 3 months these days.

If my current immigration status or category is C8, should I just pick 999. Cause there is no C8 in the category.
