  • Don’t try to stop negative thoughts, says Sadhguru, as there is no such thing as a positive or negative thought. Fighting your thoughts is like fighting your own ghosts - you make them and then fight against them. If you win, explains Sadhguru, then you’ve really lost it!

I am a singer and I enjoy singing listening to music. I am now trapped in a particular situation where I start noticing or judging whether I’m enjoying a particular song while singing or listening to it and end up failing to live or embrace it naturally like I should. I am afraid everytime I’ll hear something beautiful or sing I will not be able to enjoy it because my mind will start judging how much am I enjoying the music instead of enjoying the music naturally. And I can’t really ignore it while happening also because it makes me feel numb as I am in a constant fight with my brain.

Also, thoughts are like oil. The more you try to rub them off, the more it gets everywhere. One needs to allow the oil to sink in in that spot until the skin naturally dries it away.

This man has tons of videos on TH-cam, I discovered this video on TH-cam over three years ago and I still watch this video often this video is very relevant for my life and has been a blessing for my life. I cannot say I have mastered this philosophy but I will say I know where to run when I feel lost inside my own thoughts. Who ever this man teacher is and their teachers may God's blessing be with them always.

Every thought contains the information within it to control it. Controlling thoughts centers on obedience to that thought and ends in blindness to the thought. However, thoughts cannot be destroyed. They can only be forgotten. Entertaining thoughts, on the other hand, wishes to delve into the thought at hand and therefore the vision increases and the particulars are known. This is the yin/yang of all information. Information is all senses coming from all the universe. Thus, the intellect encompasses all information, but information is filed differently according to our values.

Here Sadhguru is trying to say that , We are neither the mind nor the body , we have accumulated it over a period of time , as the other organs of our body has different kinds of functions ; the function of mind is to create thoughts ,it doesn't discriminate between thoughts rather we label it negative or positive ,but actually they are just thoughts. Thus ,he says that we are so attached with the function of the mind that we consider the mind as us . We are not the mind but somehow we are deeply attached to it that's is the problem.
