I apologize for the soft focus on arrival. I’m not sure why the camera decided not to focus completely. It looked fine when recording and I only noticed it during editing. I tried to sharpen the image up but that didn’t fix it completely. In the end, I didn’t want to waste the footage though, so I did the best I could to fix it. Thanks for watching everyone!
@@sla31 Do you have the new 2020 version? The graphics in it are fantastic. But I can’t afford to get the new computer hardware it requires. I have the flight simulator X steam edition and I love it. As always, flying into/out of South Florida is always my favourite location of all your travels as it gets me home again to a place I've been away from for far too long. Thank you as always for your exemplary videographies. No one does it better!
If I’m not mistaken, you’ve been to DFW Airport before and I’m flew on some flights from there. I hope that I can maybe even get to be on the same flight as you.
I've been to DFW a lot. So much that people assume that it's my home airpot. When in reality I'm from Joplin, Missouri. DFW is my most visited airport though. I have flown through DFW 247 times in the last 10 years. And who knows, as much as I fly, we may just share a flight some day.

Hey Traveler, he flies parallel to the coast and over Ft Lauderdale and turns inland out over the Everglades for the Big U Turn and an Eastbound landing into Miami !! Drops gear at 2:49:00 Like Buttah !!
As the pilot mentioned in his announcement, the airspeed system wasn’t working properly. This plane had been sitting in a hangar at JFK for several days before this flight. One wonders if they forgot to take the pitot tube covers off 😂. Whatever it was, we spent about 45 minutes sitting at the gate.
I did. A move I was very much in favor of. I'll be honest, this move likely means airfare will eventually rise in the US, as a major ultra low cost carrier is going away, but JetBlue provides a much better product than Spirit ever has. So, I see that as a win.
Our airspeed indicators weren't working. Pretty important system once you get in the air, so it's a good thing they noticed before we took off haha. It took 1.5 hours to fix and get us back on our way.
The airspeed indicators weren't working. Now, whether it was a pitot tube problem, or the software I'm not sure. All I know is what the Captain announced, which was that they weren't getting airspeed indications. This plane had been in a hangar for several days before this flight, presumably for maintenance. I wondered if someone forgot to take the pitot tube covers off haha.
The flight was 4 hours 39 minutes, but that’s a lot to do with the maintenance problem that forced us back to the gate at JFK. The actual in air time was what you see here. This is the full flight. Thanks for watching my friend!
The total time was 4 hours 39 minutes. That’s mainly Because we spent 1.5 hours at the gate due or the maintenance problem we had during our taxi. So the actual flight time is what you see in the video. 3 hours.
this is gonna be a sick video. I know I asked you a million questions a few days ago but I'm sorry just one more: do you ever need to worry about your phone's battery life on these long-ish flights? Is that why you have 3 phones or no? Oh and why did they have to return to the gate? Sorry if they mentioned it. And you accidentally added two colons for the "Inbound Taxi" chapter
I fly with a 20,000mah battery bank. This provides plenty of power to while filming. I don’t typically use it during takeoff and landing, for several reasons, but I do use it during cruising. So iPhones generate a ton of heat when filming in 4K. Even more so when charging. So, you really can’t charge until you’re at altitude and the window has gotten cold. That cold air around the window keeps the phone cool enough to not overheats. I have a standard Onn power bank from Walmart haha and it’s worked done for years now.
@@RoadsOfAsiaBen yes, I do travel with 3 iPhones. One 1TB iPhone 13 Pro and two 512 GB iPhone 12 Pros. Filming at 4K 60fps takes up tons of space. I have 3 iPhones as backups for when the first one runs out of footage.
I don't fly every day. I upload every day, but uploading every day doesn't mean I fly every day. I fly around 8 days per month. And when I fly, I fly for this channel. So, I often take 3 or 4 segments per day. Sometimes 5, and my record is 6 in one day. That gets me a minimum of 24 segments per month. Usually more. And I am rich, but likely not in the way you mean when you call me rich. Statistically speaking, I'm richer than a large majority of the people in this world because I live in the United States. That said, I'm nowhere near "first world rich." I live a blessed life, but I often live month to month where the channel is concerned. Sometimes I wonder if I can swing enough extra money to get enough footage to post. I have to plan and carefully budget every flight you see on this channel. I do everything you see on this channel on my own time, at my own expense and I spend a lot to make it happen. If money was no object, and I was "rich" you'd see a lot more on this channel. Thanks for watching my friend!

Still it's the beautiful Video & very relaxing
No worries, it's part of the territory. All it takes is one speck on a window or glass to totally fool autofocus sometimes

It's interesting how AA uses a long-hauler on such a short JFK_MIA route. But that just makes the route 100% cooler and more enjoyable. Nice vid!
Sometimes its to reposition a plane for South American flights out on Miami.

Minus the maintenance issue that caused us to return to the gate and take a 1.5 hour delay, it was a very smooth flight haha.
Another stellar upload. Always enjoyable.
Why did it have to return to the gate for the second taxi?

If you're in fist class or premium economy yes, but as far as I know, none of the airlines flying New York to Miami offer coach any type of meal.
