2 Iraqi MiG-25s vs U.S. 2 F-15Cs (Gulf War) | DCS World Reenactment

  • Watch two Iraqi Air force MiG-25s, NATO callsign 'Foxbats' duke it out with United States Air Force F-15C Eagles over Iraq. This video has some strange twists, weapon failures and a damaged fighter.
I'd say the Foxbats won that round. Now maybe if as-Samarrai didn't maneuver, there may have been an F-15 shot down that day. Or maybe it was and the U.S. covered it up. Conspiracy time!
If you enjoyed this video, please like, comment, share and subscribe for more videos in the future! I won't pester you anymore than that. Thanks for watching.
This video was made using a flight simulator called Digital Combat Simulator World or DCS World. www.digitalcom...

I never knew about this one. If someone found wreckage, Iraqis had to have taken a pic or took some of it. I find it hard to believe US is going to lie about this though. What would be the gain besides keeping the 0 shootdown record of the F-15 intact? Is there much difference between 100-0 or 100-1? It's so good either way. Regardless, an Iraqi Mig -25 almost got another shootdown in that war. MIG-25s must be pretty good. Almost like an interceptor airliner they are so big.

From my limited understanding, its because the Iraqis were using Soviet doctrine, in which Ground Control Intercept is heavily emphasized over pilot intitiative, and the GCI controllers are the primary decision-makers. Having a wingman is less important if the guys on the ground are calling all of the shots anyways.
