lextech 98 I was barely managing to keep it together then I looked at my mum crying and then that really set me of. I've never seen her cry like that 😥😂
It was nice that in the first film that when Bill accidentally called Sophie 'Sofia', Sophie mentioned that she was named after someone called Sofia. In the second film, we realise who Sofia was, and that she helped young Donna give birth to Sophie.
Charlie Boone maybe Bill is Sophie's real dad. Both Donna and Bill have blonde hair and Harry and Sam have dark hair. Bill was the last one Donna slept with before she got pregnant. Maybe its Bill but there's more evidence that Bill is her dad because the person who wrote the play tweeted it I think.
Did you also notice in the sequel that when Donna is giving birth the scene shows little pieces of the potential dads? The Eiffel Tower the boat material and then the close up of Donna’s metallic “S” ring.
Okey so, genetics basics : you can have a blond baby with a black haired father and a blond hair mother. AND, the winner of the life battle isn't the last one who has slept with you :') Only a DNA test could tell us who is the father, here we don't have a clue.
Not even going to lie, when you started talking about the parallels between “Slipping Through My Fingers” and “My Love, My Life”, I started crying. It’s so beautiful how they decided to show that reflection. I felt the same energy seeing the second one as I saw the first ❤️
“I Kissed the Teacher” made me dance in my seat. I love that song so much. And Lily’s versions of “I Have A Dream” and “Mamma Mia” made me smile. “I’ve Been Waiting For You” and “My Love, My Life.” made me ugly cry so hard, but they were two of the most beautiful scenes in the movie.
I don't think I knew When I Kissed The Teacher before this movie but thought they did a great routine and it made a cool opener for the film too. Lily James is so great as young Donna, and yes, I Have A Dream and Mamma Mia were both top moments too! Sooooo many to choose from! :-)
I loved the "Why did it have to be me" scene, it gave me such a flirtatious vibe, and I LOVE It!!! But honestly Mamma Mia has be my favorite movie ever since it came out, and to see Lily James do such a good job in becoming young Donna was so amazing to watch!
You missed that the hat Donna is wearing at the start of dancing queen in the first movie is on the Napoleon statue in the second movie during the song ‘Waterloo’.
My Love, My Life and Sam singing SOS were the most heartbreaking scenes in the whole movie. I was crying so hard. Still am while watching fact 9. Angel Eyes is definitely one of my favourite scenes too, Christine "high-kicking-bitch" Baranski and Julie Walters are killing it.
Aw, yes, Hannah, when he sings SOS by himself this time, it's so heartbreaking. :-( Angel Eyes is so awesome - totally love everything about that scene!! CB & JW rock! :-)
This film made me cry. I lost my mother in March and the first film was one we loved to watch together. One of the lines that makes me cry is when they talk about sophie making her mother proud and harry says "as if she hasn't been doing that her whole life"
Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again was truly an incredible show of how the little details in the first movie meant something more then we as the audience ever knew. Watching the first one so many times has made so that I was able to really notice how much time was put into the movie to make true fans smile.
I have been looking for authentic Mamma Mia 2 clothing and jewelry everywhere. I love bohemian and the relaxation vibe that the clothes and the movie have. GREAT JOB on the video, as well.
The film is great! I think the reason I like it so much is because there seems to be a deeper emotional connection to the songs, compared to the first one. For example, Donna sings both 'Knowing me, Knowing you' and 'Mamma Mia' becasue she's just had her heart broken and its actually quite sad, and i really enjoyed that aspect of the film. Anyone else agree? My favorite number though would easily have to be 'Waterloo'. Just looked like it was so much fun to make and its a great song of course. And Lily James absolutely nailed it as Donna, What a perfromance!
And just like Sophie pretends to shoot Sky with an imaginary arrow in the first film, young Donna does the exact same thing to Bill. Like mother like daughter. Cool video! =)
UltraCoolRP - That line is so funny and cool because it was reported that Cher actually really said this in relation to one of her (many) younger boyfriends, many years ago.
The fact that Donna died ruined 2nd film for me. I still loved it, but Mamma Mia should be a film after which u will be so happy! Not to feel sadness of losing a mom! :'(
Laylla's Locker that what I've been thinking ever since I watch the 2nd. It's been making me feel like I could cry any minute just think about Donna as she was most of my childhood and now she's been taken from me all because of the writers. 😪
I think it's better we don't know why. It's part of the mystery Donna. Knowing that she died from cancer or because she slipped on a banana would have been too down to earth...
I’m not sure if anyone notices but when Donna is giving birth in MM2, it starts with her wearing the outfit she bought whilst she was with Sam, then zooms into a small Eiffel Tower figurine and finally, focuses on a ring she’s wearing with a pearl on. It represents all 3 fathers in a really lovely way and ends up with Sophie being the thing that represents Donna & I just think that’s really beautiful.
When I Kissed The Teacher was such a fun, high-energy opening number -- knowing about extra details like the outfits made from curtains makes me love it even more!
Another fun small secret in the second film was when Cienfuegos complemented Rosie in the beginning of the film with "you have the wits of a flamingo" (or something similar, i saw it in a different langauage), she was actually wearing flamingo earrings during that and many more scenes after that!
I'm so glad I went to see it without having seen the full trailers and the many many interviews before! It was so good to find out the story at the moment instead of already expecting something. I really really loved this and had to literally stab myself with my nails a couple times to stop the tears haha. What a great movie
You're gonna love it, man. It was really really touching for me. Specially because I was 18 for the first one so now I'm 28 and all those issues the movie touch really really feel familiar. It's kinda crazy that I'm implying Mama Mia is a down to earth movie hahaha
Always really loved mamma mia... I fell in love the moment I had seen it. The actors were so natural. You could really feel their love. It was an amazing mix of romance, and comedy. No words could describe how beautiful it is.... No words
i love the first mamma mia so much and this one did not disappoint me. it was so amazing and i cried at the last scene. knowing these facts certainly makes me love here we go again MORE!!
Fun from beginning to end! Love the sequel more than the original film. Loved how it tied the whole story together. Brilliant casting; Lily James is a gem!
Rosies boa was blue and yellow (aka Swedish flag colours) and she gave it to the teacher that was played by Mr Björn Ulvaeus, two little Easter Eggs there that made me so happy!
I'm going to see it a third time. It's so good. Can you do a video on the songs I Wonder and the Day Before You Came? I'm curious as to why they are on the soundtrack but cut from the film. I love Why Did It Have To Be Me and Angel Eyes. Great Abba songs, both of them. Seeing it more than once is great because you can look more at costuming and scenic design. There's so much to see.
Absolutely love the Angel Eyes performance, Doug - wonderful bit of storytelling with great choreography and call-backs to the first film! And Why Did It Have To Be Me? is a really fun number too! Totally with you about seeing it several times too; it definitely gives you more time to appreciate just how much work has gone into all the different parts of the movie. Enjoy your third viewing! :-)
It didn't half make me chuckle when I listened to Meryl's version of "The Day Before You Came" and noticing that they changed the lyric from "There's not, I think, a single episode of "Dallas" that I didn't see" to "...episode of House of Cards" ;) But I agree! You can perhaps work out how "I Wonder" would work into the film, but "The Day Before You Came" does leave me guessing...
Doug Beatty i read that The Day Before You Came was never going to be used in the movie as the lyrics are too specific to fit the storyline... it was recorded basically because it’s the director’s (or someone else important) favourite ABBA song and Meryl wanted to perform it
I love Mamma Mia:Here We Go Again. I've seen it 3 times and I cry at the chapel scene Everytime. But my favorite part of the new movie is when Sky surprises Sophie.
There is a small moment that I adore between Donna and Sophie in both My Love, My Life and Slipping through my fingers. During the song they both sing and gently put their heads together, just for a few seconds- but I love it and it truly shows the bond between them x
I love the song "In this angel eyes " very much . I have seen the film yesterday and it is so amazing for me. The actors are so wunderfull. And the last song it is so emotionel , Im crying . Love and peace .....
I loved the choreography between young Donna and young Bill. The butterfly link, I got it was so sweet I cried. Mamma Mia 2 was amazing. Everyone should watch it.
Also every character has their song. For example, when tanya is on screen, they play "Does your mother know" in the background, when harry is on screen they play "our last summer" in the background, when rosie is on screen they play "take a chance on me". The songs they sing in the first movie.
The mistakes didnt bother me at all. The music was so catchy, the actors and actresses were wonderful and the vibe of the movie was just amazing. I'll never stop loving mamma Mia!
I think that is the exact point of the movie. Mamma Mia is not like any other movie, it gives 90% into the vibe, which is great and unique but does take away from other bits and bops which people who favour "typical" movies don't tend to appreciate.
the script was so well-written that there would be no other way in which the events could develop. it was far from other cheesy sequels that usually have strained plots, on the contrary it makes you want to go back and watch it again and again!:)
every scene involved with sophie and donna’s relationship was my favorite. they did a great job of showing the importance of motherhood in their lives it was very emotional and i Sobbed in the theatre
I loved this movie. Just an explosion of love, vitality and emotion between kindred spirits with intertwined lives over time. So delightful and you could feel the energy and bond between the cast members. Magnificent! This film totally embraced the audience with great joy. It just flowed together perfectly.
I loved this movie so much! I cried at my love, my life as I think most people did because how couldn’t you. Seeing all he links between the two movies makes me love that franchise so much more. I hope there is a third movie so I can sing along to more great tunes!! Xx
loved the film. i went ot the movie at a ladies night at the local movie theater with my familiy. i was feeling quite depressed that day but i reall cheered up from the movie. wish it could do it again.
I watched the sequel of Mama Mia with my mum a few weeks ago. It was very funny, clever, and emotional. Both mum and I on the brink of crying on our way due to the final song of Sophie and Donna singing together. My favorite part was when Bill and Harry arrived on the ships doing the Titanic thing. Love those two.😂❤
I can't say that I have only 1 favorite scene. The whole movie was just incredible!! I was however very glad I didn't know about Donna ☹️ until I was watching the movie... This was very upsetting and just ripped at my heart strings as did the rest of the movie... From laughter to fighting almost uncontrollable flash flood of tears... The movie and Abba music I will cherish for a very long time!
Saw it yesterday, and oh my god am I in love with this movie I didn’t see these connections, but it made me love the film even more ! The scene at the chapel was so emotional, I cried like a little baby ❤️ such a beautiful movie !
10 years ago my grandson and I watched Mama Mia . I bought the movie and we watched it every night we even danced to it. When Mama Mia 2 came out we went to see it. We had so much fun. I can't wait to by it.
Thanks for your videos to know something I didn't realize. I can not forget the seen when donna meet Sophie in the church singing live love. mamma mia & mamma mia2 are the two of the best movie i have seen.
My mom, my sister, and I have been listening to the the soundtrack nonstop since we saw he movie on the day it premiered. We’re seeing it again tonight! I love the entire movie but cried like a baby during “I’ve Been Waiting For You” and “My Love, My Life.” Thank ABBA for the music ❤️
I’m from japan and a big fan of mamma Mia. And the reason why I watched your video was because I’m going to play Meryl Streep’s character in my college musical in coming October. I need to understand this story more but your videos are interesting and amazing! Thank you for making such a nice video about mamma mia. I’m looking forward to a new video.
You're very welcome, Amane, and thanks so much for your kind words - very happy to hear you've been enjoying my Mamma Mia videos! Good luck with your college musical in October - hope you have a tonne of fun! :-)
The song “Why Did it Have to Be Me” with young Bill and Donna was my absolute favourite. Lily James was fantastic in the movie and lived out all my childhood fantasies!!
In the scene in the restaurant between young Donna and Harry (Waterloo) in the background the radio is playing “our last summer”. I cried from the nostalgia
There is also a "hidden song". Sometime during the party, dont remember exactly when, Hasta Manana is playing quite a long time in the background. HM was the song Abba considered for Eurovision before they decided on Waterloo.
What moment did you love most in Mamma Mia 2?
Giveaway winners just announced on new Mamma Mia video here! ► th-cam.com/video/0rV2wzIShd8/w-d-xo.html
Cher arriving for Fernando was probably one of the best!
Gotta love that entrance! :-)
Cher singing Fernando had to be the best bit she is just incredible
We never learn who Donna's father is...could it be Fernando?
Ailbhe Forde Totally awesome! :-)
I also cried so much when Donna appeared and when Sam was sadly singing “SOS” while looking at old pictures he took of Donna when they were young
Briana Diaz thank U!!!! I’ve been looking for the name of the song Forever ❤️
Briana Diaz 😭
I aso cried so much when Donna appeared and when sam was sady singing "SOS" while looking at old pic tures he took of Donna when they were young
@@jessicawelsh4423 um thats what Briana Diaz said
The chapel scene was my favorite, and i cried like a baby when Meryl appeared.
It was really emotional, wasn't it?!
Flicks And The City Yes. And I went to see it with my mom, so it made me cry even more to see that kind of bond between a mother and daughter.
same I was crying so much
lextech 98 I was barely managing to keep it together then I looked at my mum crying and then that really set me of. I've never seen her cry like that 😥😂
I cried also!

Qirubia mamma mia 3: the DNA test 😉
Not even going to lie, when you started talking about the parallels between “Slipping Through My Fingers” and “My Love, My Life”, I started crying. It’s so beautiful how they decided to show that reflection. I felt the same energy seeing the second one as I saw the first ❤️
that part made me sobbed in the cinema! :') so beautiful yet so sad
“I Kissed the Teacher” made me dance in my seat. I love that song so much. And Lily’s versions of “I Have A Dream” and “Mamma Mia” made me smile.

When bill and Harry arrive in and recreate the titanic scene. I love this because I have a habit of doing this myself Everytime I get on a boat. 😂
amanda byrnes lol
i actually watched Titanic today (my fav movie) for the 12th time!!!
When bill and harry arrive in and recreate the titanic scene. I have a habit of doing this myself Everytime I get on a boat 😂
You missed that the hat Donna is wearing at the start of dancing queen in the first movie is on the Napoleon statue in the second movie during the song ‘Waterloo’.
Sophie King yeah I spot that
EMILY GRAY 😂😘😂😘
Yes I noticed that too!
I didn't notice that. Well done
Did anyone else noticed the boat the young Dynamos jumped off was called "Chiquitita"
Meels really?!
I’ve been waiting for you made me cry too, it’s so emotional
Izabela Oreluk me too, though let's be honest, I cry for 90% of the movie lmao
This film made me cry. I lost my mother in March and the first film was one we loved to watch together. One of the lines that makes me cry is when they talk about sophie making her mother proud and harry says "as if she hasn't been doing that her whole life"
Hannah Boh I started crying during ‘I’ve Been Waiting For You’

Watching the first one so many times has made so that I was able to really notice how much time was put into the movie to make true fans smile.
But was it the band leader?
Mamma Mia is my actual life, am I the only one that cried during the chapel scene?
Zach Funk I cried too
Zach Funk no
Not a dry eye in the cinema!
Zach Funk omg i did to!
I cried too it was so sad
I adored both movies. I still laugh thinking of that line: "Karma...it's pronounced HA!" or "Oh, my beating va..." LOL
haha, yes, they were fantastic lines, Kara! :-)
I have been looking for authentic Mamma Mia 2 clothing and jewelry everywhere. I love bohemian and the relaxation vibe that the clothes and the movie have. GREAT JOB on the video, as well.
SAME

Freja V I noticed that too!
I saw Donna's blue dress from the first movie in Sophie's closet during "One of Us"!
Rute Beleza yeah same!!
I definitely didn't catch the detail about those curtain costumes! That is amazing :D
I love finding out all those lovely little details in a film - just shows how much work goes into making a movie. :-)
"Have him washed and brought to my tent" - Tanya
HAHAHAHHA!!!!
+"My soulmate might actually be carbs - Rosie
Absolutely LOVE Tanya & Rosie! :-) Also, Tanya's "I just want to say, I enjoy you visually" to young Sam! LOL
Oh yeah. Yes it is.
UltraCoolRP - That line is so funny and cool because it was reported that Cher actually really said this in relation to one of her (many) younger boyfriends, many years ago.
I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT BOTH OF THE MOVIES THEIR SERIOUSLY MY FAVORITE MOVIES I BALLED MY EYES OUT AT THE SECOND ONE
Meryl Streep said she doesn’t do sequels but she would be in a small part of the movie
Kailie Morrison Even so, they could have done it with her being alive. Anything but being dead. 😑
It made me more sad, that they didn' even told why she died..
That's so awesome - incredible spot, Lia! What language were you watching in? :-)
Flicks And The City I was watching it in Hungarian :)
Cool, I'm always interested in how they translate particular phrases like that (or different sayings) into different languages. :-)
Lia Pap in Spanish he says the same.
I'm so glad I went to see it without having seen the full trailers and the many many interviews before! It was so good to find out the story at the moment instead of already expecting something. I really really loved this and had to literally stab myself with my nails a couple times to stop the tears haha. What a great movie
Great to hear you enjoyed the film so much! Definitely hard to keep those tears from falling by the end.
some105. l've been seeing every single trailer And waiting eargerly for August 17 ( México)
You're gonna love it, man. It was really really touching for me. Specially because I was 18 for the first one so now I'm 28 and all those issues the movie touch really really feel familiar. It's kinda crazy that I'm implying Mama Mia is a down to earth movie hahaha
My favorite movie at the moment! I’ve seen it 3 times in theatres😂😂
Wow! How did you notice some of these subtle things?! The connections just makes me appreciate the films even more-thank you (for the music)!
I loved the chapel scene at the end it was so heartwarming and emotional tears 😭 where trickling down my face for all of that scene
I love the Mamma Mia movies. My grandma is Swedish so I grew up listening to ABBAs songs and then I got to see them acted out in a movie... twice.
I thought i was the only one who noticed the butterfly and the horseshoe
Well spotted, coolguyyy s! :-)
coolguyyy s me too
coolguyyy s mee

Fun from beginning to end! Love the sequel more than the original film. Loved how it tied the whole story together. Brilliant casting; Lily James is a gem!
You can see in Mamma Mia 2 how Lily James mimicks Meryl Streep's hand movement while talking. Makes them seem like they really are the same person.
Rosies boa was blue and yellow (aka Swedish flag colours) and she gave it to the teacher that was played by Mr Björn Ulvaeus, two little Easter Eggs there that made me so happy!
I am 20 y old man and i absolutely love mama mia 1& 2. it’s sooooo damn good. take my man card if you must.
Aw, I love your profile pic too. The sun baby from Tellatubbies. Watched that show a lot as a kid.
Can I marry you?!😍
I couldn't stop my tears when at the end Dona(Maryl) and her daughter sing together, it's just ADORABLE AND ENCHANTING.

Here in México I have to wait until August 17 for the premiere awww! I love reading all the Nice comments from viewers like you !!
I accidentally clicked the dislike button lol
It didn't half make me chuckle when I listened to Meryl's version of "The Day Before You Came" and noticing that they changed the lyric from "There's not, I think, a single episode of "Dallas" that I didn't see" to "...episode of House of Cards" ;)

You forgot the chapel is playing the instrumental of Slipping Through My Fingers as they walk in for the baptism
Bill: “Talking about his great aunt Sophia”
Sam and Harry: *s t a r e*
Brought back wonderful memories loved the soundtrack bopping in our seats worth seeing a second time.
in mm1 sophie reads donnas diary describing donna and sam dancing on the beach in mm2 they ACTUALLY dance on the beach
The barge they jump off is called ‘Chiquitita’ and I also really like the link to the woman carrying twigs in dancing queen.
My fave was the souper trouper scene, the entire cast comming together in such a special and perfect way 😍
the script was so well-written that there would be no other way in which the events could develop. it was far from other cheesy sequels that usually have strained plots, on the contrary it makes you want to go back and watch it again and again!:)
every scene involved with sophie and donna’s relationship was my favorite. they did a great job of showing the importance of motherhood in their lives it was very emotional and i Sobbed in the theatre

So delightful and you could feel the energy and bond between the cast members. Magnificent! This film totally embraced the audience with great joy. It just flowed together perfectly.
Such a good film, and its so clever how they add the songs, love theses videos x
i loved ‘the name of the game’ scene! the cinematography was absolutely jaw-dropping
I loved this movie so much! I cried at my love, my life as I think most people did because how couldn’t you. Seeing all he links between the two movies makes me love that franchise so much more. I hope there is a third movie so I can sing along to more great tunes!! Xx
Thanks for enlightening us with this very cool review ! 👌
What a brilliant video ! I really do love it even more hahaha
loved the film. i went ot the movie at a ladies night at the local movie theater with my familiy. i was feeling quite depressed that day but i reall cheered up from the movie. wish it could do it again.

Love ever bit of the movie
We also see Björn Ulvaeus in the song 'I kiss the teacher' and Benny Anderson play the piano 🎹
natalia trindade thank you!
Finally some one realized this!!!
i scrolled really too far for this!
Saw it yesterday, and oh my god am I in love with this movie I didn’t see these connections, but it made me love the film even more ! The scene at the chapel was so emotional, I cried like a little baby ❤️ such a beautiful movie !
I found the bit at the end with Donna and Sophie really touching

I love the two films! It’s great to see the complete casts after 10 years! Awesome 😊
It was a really emotional movie, i wasn't expecting to be so moved at the end.
I love knowing more and more about the movies that I really like and this video helped me a lot. Thanks and keep doing great videos like this!
Loving your mamma mia videos. Keep them coming :)
The film is amazing I love lily James how she acts in the film
I sobbed through three quarters of this beautiful film!
THANK YOU for these mamamia vids
I absolutely love mamma mia and can't imagine life without its amazing music
I had noticed some of these but not others. These are great.
Seen it 6 times now, can’t get enough
I love mamma Mia so much I was so glad they made a sequel!
I just returned from the cinema and I can only say I AM IN LOVE!
I love the scene with Meryl in the chapel and the Waterloo dance scene
I’m from japan and a big fan of mamma Mia. And the reason why I watched your video was because I’m going to play Meryl Streep’s character in my college musical in coming October. I need to understand this story more but your videos are interesting and amazing! Thank you for making such a nice video about mamma mia. I’m looking forward to a new video.
You're very welcome, Amane, and thanks so much for your kind words - very happy to hear you've been enjoying my Mamma Mia videos! Good luck with your college musical in October - hope you have a tonne of fun! :-)
Loved that they had a shot of the lady carrying the wood above her head in the 2nd movie during Dancing Queen
This was an amazing analysis of the two movie musicals, I would have missed out on even more of the sentimental value!
WOW. Thanks for this great video!
The song “Why Did it Have to Be Me” with young Bill and Donna was my absolute favourite.
Lily James was fantastic in the movie and lived out all my childhood fantasies!!
Fabulous spontanious emotion, song and love.
Mamma Mia part 2 very beautiful movie ever best made me cry
Have seen both movies and the stage play. The sequel was by far my favorite. Can't get enough of the music.
i also noticed how in the scene with young harry and donna in the restaurant, ‘our last summer’ is playing on the piano in the background
Mamma Mia here we go again is my all time favourite movie ever. I've already seen it two times and hoping for a third time
I loved the shot of the same woman carrying the sticks in both pictures. It was a great touch. Anyone else notice it!
I really loved this film! The performance of Waterloo is one of my favorites.
I love this film so much and I love the bit where young bill and young Dona sing on the boat
I just love these films and also I love you because you make loveing "Mamma Mia" even more possible. Thank you for that❤
