German dubbing actors are next level. First of all they are normally fully trained actors and (like stuntman) some kind of unsung heroes. Growing up with these voices was epic. Back in the time there where some who were in every movie. So James Bond (Connery) sound like James T. Kirk (Shatner). When Eastwood met his (late) german voice he admitted this voice is just better and insist that he dubbed him in every movie since then. Tricky when more of their dubbing clients act together, so they normally had to choose one and the other is recasted (wierd for our ears). But when i remember correctly once the actor spoke both of them with different intonation. Thats masterclass.
I heard rumors, that Robert Ermey (Sgt. Hartman from Full Metal Jacket) once heard his german voice actor said, that he sounded a lot better than his own voice.
I love those videos of the Datteltäter where you have to guess the dubbing actors. The videos are entertainment at the highest level. You are welcome to react to more of them.
Funny thing is that nobody knew Patrik Bach (voice of Sam) as an actual actor himself. 😅 He became famous in 1980th as child TV Star in Germany as Silas! And still plays in a lot of TV Shows in Germany.
Becouse barely any german television show is any good They are almost all written so boringly u barely csn warch it u less u are now 55+ and the age of this will encrease esch year of german productions dont get their butt up and do better writing So of couse nobody effin i knos him
One of my favourite german voice actors is klaus-dieter klebsch he has a very unique voice and and his work is so widespread that i cant imagine that there is a single german out there that didnt hear his voice at least once
The lawsuit from Marcus Off summarized: Disney didn't paid him, what he was worth according to the Copyright law. So he wanted the money for the three movies, where he voiced Johnny Depp
Something that i always liked about voice acting is that we got to enjoy voices that fit the look of the actor (good example is the german voice for the rock) and i honestly wished that Practice of using voice ators to make the voice fit the character would be something that is done more often in general, they used it in english with darth vader and it is a large part of why he is as legendary as he is. Sadly they now try to have the actors be voiced by someone who sounds similar which kinda takes away the one quality positiv the dubs provided 😐
Back when i was young i got used to some of these voices, but i cant listen to them anymore. You will hear the same voices over and over again in different movies for diofferent roles and once you switch to the original you never come back.
this type of videos would make sense to you IF you would know the German voice actors in dubed movie, series, or Anime or anyhow. . but so as someone who does not speak and definitely not understand the German language in this context of synchronisations of voice acting .... I think this is a wrong video format for you :)
I dont think that is true, even if he only understands a few words he can still pick up context and get an insight on what german voice acting is like. He seems to be interested in the topic and enjoys the video and that is the important part. :)

German voice actors are the best in the world.
Voice actors are the unsung heroes of the german cinema, without them we would have to live with subtitles.
