I really like Urban Body Jewelry, they're more affordable, but my favorite place to buy them is Spirit Adornments because they have such beautiful pieces! All of my jewelry is survival steel, and I've had about half of them (I have 14 ear piercings) there for my than a year, and they're still great! Also, for the initial piercings I'd recommend using a stud that had the screw on back ON THE BACK, not the ones that screw on the front. The way the needles works, back screws are so much easier. And I think I have to say this 😂 but be sanitary! Use gloves and some sort of cleaning solution, I use saltwater and for the concentration I wouldn't do more than around 3 tsp salt per cup of water. So I know I'm late to the party here, but a quick story... So it was snowing at school and I told everyone it was cold enough to Peirce my ears (second holes) So I got 2 needles from needle work and next break, shoved them in, no apple bla bla, no ice, no sterilization. one each side. Left them there till I got home, got my boyfriend to stick 2 earrings in when he turned up. Long story short, major infections, so I took em out. However Then met a guy who's mum had a peiercing gun kit. So got him to repeirce them in exactly the same spots. I can never wear earrings in those holes without them getting inflamed and infected. So Do sterilize, don't repeirce old holes that have healed over. Also an infection untreated can get in your bloodstream and travel to your heart or brain. Be safe. Good luck. Guys I have a pro tip of how to pierce your ears at home: Don’t do it, don’t be lazy. save up and go to a professional. My mom worked for years in the cardiac ICU, she had a young teenage girl come in with endocarditis. (Infection of the heart valves) because of a horribly infected belly button piercing she did herself. She had to have open heart surgery. Because of an infected piercing. Go. To. A. Professional.
Professional piercers use a hollow needle to make room for the jewelry and make room for it to heal as if the jewelry is part of your body. Without using the right needle, you’re just stabbing your ear and shoving in jewelry that doesn’t belong there and there’s a good chance of it not healing correctly. I mean it’s good that you’re aware that you’re not doing it right and trying to discourage people from following in your footsteps but still...please see a professional next time lol

Yup I’ve done my own piercings lately. Bought professional piercing needles, gloves, alcohol and saline spray. Done my nose in three areas Done my ears 3 times on top of my other PAID FOR piercings. Lidocaine helps a lot.

It did not hurt to put it in at all it hurt after but just a little bit it just feels hot and like a burning sensation, but yeah i def recommend you to do it, just do it I used a sewing needle left it in for an hour then put the disinfected earing
