I came across this channel after deciding to visit HK this past August 2023. My last time to HK was around 2001 or so and while I love HK, TBH I wasnt particularly interested in the heat and humidity and crowd to return...esp post Covid and about to turn 50 last Nov. I will say Im still reminiscing and continue to watch Sam and Victor until my family and I can return again. There are some great chinese restaurants in Los Angeles but I long for HK food 😋
Wow Sam I love your vlogs and its been my childhood dream to HK ,we even tried in 2011 but from our country Pakistan, it was a very tedious almost impossible task getting a visa (so we went to Singapore & Malaysia instead) ,I don't know the latest situation though but will definitely visit HK one day and go to these spots.

Gave me already few ideas. 🥰 Grew up with Sammo Hung, Bruce Lee, Donnie Yen, Jackie Chan, Andy Lau, etc. movies.....never been to HK, cause always went to Korea and Japan in last 8 years. 😅🙈 But having 3 months of vacation at end of 2024 and staying 7 days in HK over the NYE. 🎉 Is it better staying on the Kowloon side or Island side for new year celebrations? The promenade on both sides totally full for fireworks? I saw in a video that it was not so for Chinese new year.

Ingredients: Mascarpone cheese- 500 g Egg yolk- 6 Whipping cream- 1 litre Espresso- 400g (around 15 shots) Marsala wine- 50g Ladyfingers- 32 Cocoa powder- to sprinkle on top Sugar- 2 tbsp 1) Mix Mascarpone cheese and egg yolks in a large bowl 2) Whip cream till firm in a seperate bowl, add to the cheese and egg mixture 3) Add in sguar and stir well 4) Add Marsala wine to Espresso in another bowl 5) Put one layer of cheese/cream in container so that it just covers the surface 6) Dip ladyfingers into espresso (not too long because they soak up quickly- count to three and remove) 7) Put ladyfingers on top of the cheese/cream layer in rows 8) Make one more layer of cream/cheese and ladyfingers 9) Make another layer of cream/cheese. On the top layer of cream/cheese, sprinkle cocoa powder. Leave in the fridge for at least 6 hours before serving
