I think I have to add some context before I can answer...
America is like a kid saying ‘sex has cooties’, but also a rebellious teen saying ‘that’s a lie’.
America feeds on sex but ultimately shames those who dare admit to it. Just look at how many ways english has to insult ‘hoes’. Women are taking such words back almost as a badge of honor in response to the amount of discrimination around being a woman who has had sex or might have sex. It’s like having sex makes you less of a person and they are saying ‘I’m here and I have a right to enjoy my body’. It’s not the best message, but it’s a start considering the amount of unreported sexual assault mixed into the situation. Admitting someone took your virginity or touched you in an inappropriate way only hurts women more in current American society. Granted things like WAP or extreme feminist movements go a little overboard and WAP isn’t about making a message. WAP is purely for shock value, but thinking about why WAP is shocking in ‘America’ is somewhat worthwhile.
To answer your question: the larger the taboo in real life the more people find it exciting? It’s really unhealthy.

Nothin wrong with being sexual, it's just put in such a blunt way that is off putting in front of your own children. Alone they may be fine, but most wouldn't want to watch something sexually explicit with their parents. Also straight up sex talk without metaphor or influence of a romantic sense is a very new style. Many of the classic sexy songs, involved romance, a couple, or under a metaphor (like let's get it on, or make a baby etc) not straight up like (put a d*ck in me)

I've been on the edge of a breakdown for the past 3 days because reasons, I tried everything to take my mind off the cause.
