    I appreciate diverse groups singing each other's music. After all, music is to be shared. However, this is probably the the "whitest," stiffest, version of the song I've ever seen. Even when you clap, it's like watching corpses on strings. The kids really got into it though! Good job kids!!!

      Like this choir, I am a white United Methodist raised in Texas. I've witnessed many times the reluctance of a congregation to outwardly demonstrate too much emotion, even if we're bursting with it on the inside. I think it's just the way most of us have been socialized. So, yes, by many standards their performance is stiff, but I was moved by it and appreciate their sharing their gift of music.
