    Excellent video! I have a question regarding work authorization. I am a new graduate from Canada however I have a US green card due to family sponsorship. All my experience are in Canada some are with US companies like Microsoft but in Canadian location such as Toronto. Should I mention that I am authorized to work in the US? I technically am authorized as I have my SSN however I feel like when recruiters see a Canadian resume its an auto reject even when I am qualified for the role.
    What are your thoughts on if I put a line below my name at the top of my resume saying "Authorized to work in the US, green card holder" or something similar.

    Hi rareliquid - I am in my last year of uni (australia) - I have been working in a PE firm for the last two and a bit years (in-house legal) - I have been offered a job in the Investments team upon graduation. But I also have a MM (very close to BB) offer. I am tempted to stay in PE but do you think it would be good to get sell-side experience?

    • @rareliquid
      @rareliquid  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      really hard for me to answer this without knowing more but generally if you think the PE job will give you the skills you need that the bank will then I would stay in PE given most people try to leave banking for PE. But if the bank's brand name is a lot stronger and can eventually land you at a better PE firm then that may be worth going for as well for your long-term career prospects. Best of luck!
