I got a wheel with pedals from my uncle when he passed from cancer and the first thing I did with it was playing Truck Sim while intoxicated on various, but legal, things to see how different it would be from sober. I learned the difference is it is *A LOT* more fun not sober

My brother got a wheel and pedal set up and was showing it to me and he was like let me show you this on a more realistic game and he clicked on beam NG and I was like TF are you gonna show me it on that $hitty game for it’s just a grid flat map with ramps and loops and stuff and then it come up and I was like holy $hit this game has come a long ways

The reason your wheel feels weird is because it is a controller instead of a peripheral steering wheel because it's cheap.
