    It's a good thing they can do a whole house in 10 minutes because that's about how long Ryobi tools last. Haha! Good video man, I'm getting ready to cut some aluminum siding and I had no idea how to do it without shredding the crap out of it.

    So, when he marked them all out, did he or you take into account the 1/8 the blade takes out? I guess there's enough coverage between the j channel and fascia to cover it up though.

    • @LeggoMyLegYo
      @LeggoMyLegYo 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dude, you've got over a half inch of play, but 1/8 is only a problem when you make lines on the soffit or wood. If you set the saw fence, or mark on the saw to keep lining it up then it doesn't matter.

      There's crimpers for siding at any home depot or menards. Maybe even your shingle supplier stocks them. You have to put a piece inside of your j channel for the crimps to catch. That piece is called Undersil trim or "UT". I'm getting ready to do a j channel video, but its tough to teach something that needs so much explanation in a work environment. I'm sure you know what I'm Like by now lol I got everything going on at once.

    The fact he's doing all that cutting without hearing protection makes me cringe. A good recipe for industrial deafness over time. I used to work in the mining industry , and despite all the available hearing protection, guys would just ignore it and have severe hearing loss within a year or two. It's one of those oddities of the work place that people will put on masks for their breathing, gloves for their hands, safety glasses for their eyes, but because their hearing 'sounds' okay, won't put in ear plugs or muffs. Losing hearing is an incremental thing that people simply don't notice.
