These two (just like the rest of us) are merely standing on the shoulders of giants. But they happen to be dancing with wild abandon! I love me some Josh Smith!
I'm sorry, could you please do a breakdown for Guthrie Govan song called "sevens" especially for the amazing tapping parts, i would love to see that, god bless u
Good playing but i didn't hear all the stuff you said about them in the heading i did not hear any jazz in there at all. or country, You can hear that in Robin Ford playing tho and Eric Gale.
Foxybrown2 I'm with you - Good as he is, Matt Schofield is a straight ahead blues player and says himself that he is not a jazzer. Josh Smith on the other hand has a lot of jazz vocabulary in his playing, but it in this tune he lays out and lets MS do the lead work. I'd go as far as to say that Josh has absorbed all the jazz style in Robben Ford's playing, in a good way. It's just not in evidence here because he doesn't solo.
Josh Smith and Matt Schofield magical together 🎵
wow, unbelievable solo from Matt. the build-up was insane. truly an experienced player.
Love the musical communication and dynamics of these musicians. It sounded very good, thanks a bunch for the up load and info!!
