Derek and the Dominos performing at the Electric Factory Philadelphia . October 16th 1970 . 1 - Mean Old World . 2 - Motherless Children . 3 - Let It Rain .
Electric Factory show I saw .. only Eric; and no late show/early show thing I can recall; don't ever remember the Electric Factory working like that. one show, pack 'em in. no seats really to speak of I ever saw.. (maybe there were some; who knows). look in wiki; '68-'73 (or that was the time I remember).
I was corresponding with a guy who says that he saw Derek and the Dominoes "also featuring Duane Allman" at the Factory on October 16, 1970. Could this be? He seemed like a nice guy so maybe his memory is mistaken. I read that there were only two concerts where Duane appeared, neither was in Philadelphia.
I was there for this show. BB King opened, and joined the band for the encore. The encore resulted in a guitar duel between Duane, Eric, and BB. Guess who was the last man playing?
who knows .. do know it's a fairly low quality recording ... i mean, nothing wrong with the sound there as I recall!! but this is .. weird. even sounds differently than another recording from that same night which is posted.. they'd have had to have done it direct from the sound board is all I know. anybody's guess as to what was 'done' with it.
Jane...this conversation is gettin a bit dimensional..!..eh???...hehehe...I'm pretty sure there is definitely no Duane there..!.. _sigh_ !!!...hahaha...:)O(:..
Great stuff. Jim is pushing hard
I was there!

I was there too. Don't remember any early show/late show either. Saw Cream there in '68.
It sounds like Clapton is playing slide, mos def.

Duane was never playing with the Dominos in Philadelphia.

It is EC.
oh; absolutely positive that there was no evidence of any Allman Bro there.. just
Clapton on stage.
Sometimes bands would play along with recorded tracks from studio cuts???...sounds like Duane playing too!!!...:)O(:..

Eric rarely played slide, so my guess is this is Duane.
Duane wasn't there. Maybe concert mislabeled.
Not Duane... but Clapton.
