10 years i have waited for this. here's what happened in 10 years - i graduated high school after 7 years - enrolled in my bachelor's degree in chemistry - hit so many reality checks that i lost count - survived covid, twice - spent half a year in art and music - found the love of my life - graduated college now i sit here, a Bachelor in chemistry listening to this song again. it instantly made me think back. you are a legend, keep up your career. you made hunders of thousands of kids back in the days happy
right there with you, went through highschool and college while waiting for this. I got my BA in Anthropology, traveled to 8 different countries and moved hours away from my home town to pursue my dreams. its crazy how many people this music reached and stayed with
kinda same? im still getting my bachelor in biology, im in my last year i finished school in 2018 i think and got together w a nice guy who knew me for like 7-8 years and its kinda nice
I was eight. I’m eighteen now. I used to scream this song. We make fun of kids’ interests a lot, but this era of Minecraft TH-cam genuinely gave me amazing role models when my home was breaking apart. I genuinely think I would be in a much worse place without this time. This was the crowning jewel of that time. Thank you.
This was the Golden age of the Internet. 2009-2014 we had some of the Greatest moments all put into one decade. Plus, we didn't have to think of the troubles of the real world as we were mesmerized by a world of our own.

My friends and I all loved this song and the series as a whole, and even as growing up, we would always have it playing once in a while in the background and knowing TryHardNinja, the man who sang the original song to come back and sing it once more brings joyful tears to my eyes. We have all made sweet and bitter memories back then, but this is a memory I feel everyone treasures deep in their hearts.

@@graytm372 I haven't watched the original in a least 2 years or more. And I could tell this is definitely a slightly different approach and the instrumental is obviously changed. What we're you expecting a different vocalist?
After listening to the original again, the specific thing that I love about the original but I find lacking here is the fullness/richness in his voice. In this version, I think the processing (or just changed vocal style) remove a lot of that, and it's just not nearly as emotional to me. The original still gives me multiple chills every time I listen to it.
definitely this is quite incredible to remember old TryHardNinja projects for 10 years later to sing them again, 10 years ago Igor would not imagine what he would do today, a recognized, professional and famous musician that I will never forget, I was not lucky enough to meet TryHardNinja since before, but I imagine a lot of amazing things happened, we love you Igor!❤ by the way, you look gorgeous in the thumbnail😎🤙🏻
10 years? Wow, it still feels like yesterday when the original was released. I used to love the animation accompanied by the lyrics. It's sad it faded into obscurity. Truth be told I didn't know you sang this!
I’VE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THIS FOR YEARS! IT’S MY CHILDHOOD! Thank you, i love this song! Also, is it just me or are the older Minecraft animation videos always better than the modern ones? I wish people had as much creativity as they did back then.
I have, I legitimately have shivers. This song is basically one of my part of my adolescence, when I was 13 and was considered the weird kid in class, liking videogames and listening to these songs. Now, after all those years, still keeping the old version in my Spotify's playlist, I hear this remake and GOSH! Shivers, absolute heartwarming sensations, I'm so glad TH-cam put this song in my Mix. Thaks, thanks to you and CaptainSparklez. To make me feel young and happy once again.
The song that has been made to tell a tale of a Fallen Kingdom about a decade ago was now singed out loud not to spread word of another but to look into our past. To see how we made it back here. The clock never stopped ticking even when we all were about 9 Years old. Children are now full grown adults and we shaped every block of this song. It wasn't done alone, and it was not done without a cost. It hits me hard thinking and knowing that... Its been ten years... And I don't have the friends or the family to sing this song along with when I did 10 years ago. From many things such as old friends leaving to pursue their lives and the risk of covid. Things are forever changed and this song helps show me how much change has happened after such a long time but it all hits you for about 3 minutes. Thank you for shaping our childhoods to the way they are now. There are few songs that will ever be able to bring back this feeling of my Inner child like this...
Such a wonderful and thoughtful comment. Yeah, things change, some for the best, some for the worst, and people die or disappear. Sometimes we even lose ourselves. A decade is a long time. And as you wrote, this song helps us notice the time we don't see in our everyday lives. Even after 10 years, we can still connect to that time by listening to the same lyrics and the song.
Saw this today and noticed it's upload date, was immensely happy that it was NOT an April Fool's joke. This filled me with so much nostalgia, it's so hard to believe it's been 10 years already since this came out.
Fallen kingdom then: *a home made story of a king losing everything* Fallen kingdom now: *a love letter to all the original Minecraft TH-camrs we once spent hours watching* You can't tell me you don't see people like popularMMOs and SkyDoesMinecraft when you hear this song of a much sweeter time. Edit: I want to say that I believe all of our hearts go out to technoblades family and fans. But after seeing 10-20 comments say techno I think it's safe to ask to try to bring up anyone else please, we all mourn for the loss of such a young legend, but this was ment to bring awareness to all the legends of pasts, so let's remember him along with all those we have lost along the path of Minecraft's long history of love and care.
This was my childhood.. I remember being so little and listening to the original version. And wow, the improvement in TryHardNinja's singing is amazing! This video is pure nostalgia.
This is amazing to see you coming back to this ten long years later, to make something for the first minecraft generation again. Warms my heart, but also makes me feel old lol been here for ten years and will stay for ten more. Never change man!
I lost my father a few years ago. Since then I have moved out of my old house, I have lost my uncle, my Grandpa, my other Grandpa, my great grandma, and my Great Aunt. I have lost too many people that I love. I miss them dearly, but I know I have to keep moving forward and make them proud. this song helped me through the hardest part of the loss of my father. May he rest in peace.
I remember watching this when it came out, it’s remained my number 1 Minecraft parody since, loved this animation and song, can’t belive it’s been 10 years already, let’s hope we can go another 10
this song made my childhood, and so to all the minecraft youtubers we've lost, whether to illness or to lives changing, im glad they were apart of my childhood, and especially to techno, we miss you already. rest in peace.
Ten years ago, a masterpiece was released. A masterpiece that we will always remember. Thank you again, CaptainSparklez and TryHardNinja. For the memories.
10 to 20. I've been a firefighter a combat medic and now I'm in my first year of a bachelor's in Nursing. We've all come so far and yet I hear this and feel the bittersweet blissful ignorance of being a kid and the sadness that it's over. Thank you for creating the childhood I'm glad I had.
10 years ago was the very start of this quadrilogy that is LEGENDARY in it's span of 5 years!! To all of you guys that were involved in this project, I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for giving us this forever memorable series of songs that was integrated into my childhood memories. CONGRATSS TO FALLEN KINGDOM FOR 10 YEARS!!! 🎉🎉
10 years, wow. This nostalgia hit hard enough I cried man. This song was so important to me when I was younger. Made me remember the other 3 songs that followed the story. I might cry myself to sleep from all these memories.
I always remembered this parody song being good in of itself, separated from the original song. Although applied to Minecraft context and terminology, the lyrics were still able to carry that emotional weight similar to the original Coldplay song about longing for the past. The song hits different now 10 years later. Happy you remade this TryHardNinja!
I can’t believe how much I missed this song until I heard this. This man made my childhood and I’m so grateful for every second of it. Absolutely amazing person for making these songs and giving so many people the childhood they had
After all these years that line says “note block choirs playing in the sunshine” I always hummed that line because I could only pick out sunshine. What a beautiful remake (remaster?) and I have you and Sparklez to thank for where I am today. Your music and his personality had more influence over my life than some of my close family and friends. I maybe late but thank you both for what paths you helped lead me down
It's really crazy how this remade of a cover changed everything of how I viewed the song, almost entirely of the lyrics changed into different meaning as I grew older. This is a really really awesome of a tribute, I haven't felt such goosebump in so long that it took me by surprise to learn the feeling again. Thank you for voicing a part of my childhood, thank you for everything TryHardNinja. It surprises me how much of a difference this and the old one sounds
What I like about Fallen kingdom is how different it’s story is compared to Viva la Vida. Viva la Vida told the story of a king killed by his people, and Fallen kingdom is about a king who tried to save his people.
Not just any king killed by his people. King Louis the XVI to be specific, who ironically promised to save his people after the death of his grandfather. Just 2 different paths shown by 2 different kings in 2 different songs. But the music just fits both so well.
This may sound sappy, but thank you for this song. When my Nana died in 2015 (I was 14 at the time!), it made me just happy enough to get through life one day at a time. 8 years later, I can say that it's one of the things that saved my life. Thank you for this. You're so talented and your music, and this song especially, is a blessing to me (and many others I am sure). This remaster made me cry tears of joy. Keep doing what you love, man. I can see how much you've improved, and I can't wait to see where you'll go from here.
I was in middle school when I first heard this song, now I'm about to graduate from college and go into a career in radio and voice-over work. It's amazing how fast time flies. Thank you for letting me relive this memory.
I just realized how much time has passed since i was a kid and here i am going to college honestly the fallen kingdom videos were always a highlight of my day when i was young honestly i wish everyone who see this a wonderful life
ten years. hard to believe, after all i watched this when it came out and still listen to it today. the nostalgia i got listening to this was alot thanks so much for making this !! i hope sparklez does a shoutout for this or sumn he should
i remember when i first heard this song. i didnt think anything of it. 2nd-5th time, started to feel something. got a girlfriend. talks of family, living together. thats when it really hit hard. almost always tear up at the "why was it that i wasnt dead" part now. its quite insane how something happens in life and songs that were once good just to listen to, turn into insantly powerful vibes that strike HARD. i thank both you and sparklez for making this song. such.....strong, intense memories i never want to forget
Ok so this song and Take back the Night have immensely influenced my life. They’re honestly what got me into Minecraft which consequently led me to branch out into more games than just shooters. It also influenced my music taste so much. Without this sings I never would have branched out from the 80s classic rock my dad listened to(not that that isn’t good music, but I have a much wider taste in music now, and it’s thanks to these songs for jumpstarting that interest). So thank you for being a part of my childhood
One of the few covers that's truly equal to the original (the original being my favorite song of all time, for the record) and it's the Minecraft parody version. What a beautiful world we live in.
Thank you for doing this, as of the past three months i have been regaining not only memories, but the innocence of those times long past, innocence that i had lost due to various incidents. It's great being able to feel warm, vibrant and happy once again, happy as i once was when the original came out.
That last chorus gave me goosebumps. I am a bit teary-eyed listening to this song once again, especially since I'm sitting in the same spot I used to binge it all those years ago. Thank you TryHardNinja for defining so much of my childhood with your music, especially with this song.
got goosebumps the second the video started, can't believe its been 10 years... one moment i was a kid playing minecraft with my xbox 360 friends then the next im a grown adult wondering where my time has gone, not having done much with my life since those days years ago
Amazing man. You can hold notes better than when the song was originally released. I was around 14 when the video was uploaded and this is brings me back in time. God how everything has changed.
this is...beautiful...I can't believe how much this both hurts and heals...thanks man...this is the credits song i didn't know i needed...glad to see you've progressed even further as an artist!
wow! And to think that I was listening to this along with more animations that came out in 2013-2015 and seeing a remastering almost 10 years after seeing it seriously fills me with nostalgia Thanks for your great voice TryHardNinja! -Alguien de la comunidad latina :)

Truth be told I didn't know you sang this!
i wouldnt say its faded into obscurity i find people making refrences like ''i used to rule the world'' all the time both in videos and in games
I’VE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THIS FOR YEARS! IT’S MY CHILDHOOD! Thank you, i love this song!
Also, is it just me or are the older Minecraft animation videos always better than the modern ones? I wish people had as much creativity as they did back then.
Yeah! I know right?!!!
It depends, some are still pretty good, but yeah, there are really bad ones out there as well.
Have you looked at rainimator?
I agree, but I think the average has declined. There are a few gems of Animation like Alan Becker or Rainimator
@@wonderboy8073 Dude, I freaking LOVE Alan! His animations are so well done.

Ok
Such a wonderful and thoughtful comment. Yeah, things change, some for the best, some for the worst, and people die or disappear. Sometimes we even lose ourselves. A decade is a long time. And as you wrote, this song helps us notice the time we don't see in our everyday lives. Even after 10 years, we can still connect to that time by listening to the same lyrics and the song.

Saw this today and noticed it's upload date, was immensely happy that it was NOT an April Fool's joke. This filled me with so much nostalgia, it's so hard to believe it's been 10 years already since this came out.
Fallen kingdom then: *a home made story of a king losing everything*
Fallen kingdom now: *a love letter to all the original Minecraft TH-camrs we once spent hours watching*
You can't tell me you don't see people like popularMMOs and SkyDoesMinecraft when you hear this song of a much sweeter time.

This is amazing to see you coming back to this ten long years later, to make something for the first minecraft generation again. Warms my heart, but also makes me feel old lol been here for ten years and will stay for ten more. Never change man!
The king finally returns to remind us of childhood, thank you for these 10 years man
This one really shows how much you improved but the old one is so nostalgic
I lost my father a few years ago. Since then I have moved out of my old house, I have lost my uncle, my Grandpa, my other Grandpa, my great grandma, and my Great Aunt. I have lost too many people that I love. I miss them dearly, but I know I have to keep moving forward and make them proud. this song helped me through the hardest part of the loss of my father. May he rest in peace.
Was expecting an April fools joke and was meet with the greatest song this man has ever made
I remember watching this when it came out, it’s remained my number 1 Minecraft parody since, loved this animation and song, can’t belive it’s been 10 years already, let’s hope we can go another 10
Shouldn't we make this one a legend too, just like their father, after 10 years?
Yes! Carry the torch for the next generation

Ten years ago, a masterpiece was released. A masterpiece that we will always remember. Thank you again, CaptainSparklez and TryHardNinja. For the memories.
I’m glad I found this, the nostalgia hit me like a bullet and the fact that it was 10 whole years ago is truly crazy to me.
10 to 20. I've been a firefighter a combat medic and now I'm in my first year of a bachelor's in Nursing. We've all come so far and yet I hear this and feel the bittersweet blissful ignorance of being a kid and the sadness that it's over. Thank you for creating the childhood I'm glad I had.
Truly an iconic song for the Minecraft community. I still remember listening to this all the time when i was 7.

My heart can only take so much at once goddamnit! I can literally see my childhood flash before my eyes,Thank you so much for being a part of it.
Happy 10th Anniversary of Fallen Kingdom. I'm glad I didn't miss this growing up. Thank you and congratulations
Sitting here sobbing because I know I’ll never get those memories back so long ago.
Thanks, Notch. Single-handedly formed millions of childhoods.

Ok so this song and Take back the Night have immensely influenced my life. They’re honestly what got me into Minecraft which consequently led me to branch out into more games than just shooters. It also influenced my music taste so much.
