Thank you CBS for the Crime Without Punishment series highlighting the inequities when it comes to solving crimes of African Americans and their families. 💔
Number 1 reason is that certain communities do not cooperate with law enforcement because of the never snitch street code. 👉 th-cam.com/video/nFhWpTKvD8E/w-d-xo.html
I was told by a homicide detective over the phone that they couldn't do anything to help me. No police report, investigation, or even a visit to my home. It was neat and clean and handled by telephone. Essentially, dismissed. Case never opened. Today is his birthday.
The "don't talk, don't snitch" culture is why a lot of these cases are never solved. People are scared they will be hurt/killed. Investigators/detectives face an uphill battle.
Did you not watch this? Not even the chief says that’s why. The mothers gave them names of viable suspects. It’s just a convenient excuse and nothing more.

My son was murdered in Sacramento recently and i still dont have answers . What i do know my son told me if i end up dead mom..check the police they always harrassing me. And its painful..because i DONT TRUST THEM EITHER..
@💕 Love&War i did..i reached out to NAACP..FBI..DOJ..INTERNAL AFFAIRS..called plenty of attorneys..i fell so broken..still trying to pick up the pieces..not sure even how
Sooooo.....If they have a real Suspect, and the Suspects are not pulled in; how often are those Suspects becoming Victims of Drive By Shootings and Dead.??? Can we trust the Police to look the other way - to help the Families find Justice.??? Is this is what's next.??
If law enforcement drones and robots are always monitoring and scanning everyone and everything all the time, they could react immediately to any crimes criminals or emergencies. Not later or never.
This documentary is good. We need to educate each other why these things are happening so we can find a solution. I truly believe most police are trying to help solve these issues. Let's rebuild the trust and reduce the violence.
@DraXxX It is racism but it’s also a wealth thing. Cops act like this in poor white neighborhoods, too, but that doesn’t get the same type of coverage. Don’t get me wrong. I am glad that the racism part is getting the coverage. 1/2 full is better than empty…
@DraXxX Cops “protect and serve” those elected to power and the interests of those elected to power - plain and simple. The only time they are required to protect us is when we are in custody and even then, that is a huge grey area. The supreme farce has ruled on this numerous times.
Still waiting since 1964 to have my adoption nullified and take back my legal birth certificate. And not have that authority or custody be given back to my biological relatives or their relatives. As a child I was legally removed from one group of dysfunctional and abusive group of people. And placed into another group of dysfunctional and abusive group of people. I am in need of a lawyer to represent me. I am okay with going to the United States Supreme Court. This is as important as: Brown vs The Board of Education. There should have been federal legislation written centuries ago; that allowed adopted people to have their adoption nullified. There should have been legislation in the United States Constitution or in the Ammendments or in the Bill of Rights; that allows adopted people to have their adoption nullified. Regardless of their age. Several law enforcements, the AG of CA., and the ACLU are a few organizations that have been informed. Why doesn't my birth certificate have the word: Adopted? This should be mandatory for all adopted people. The United States government and judiciary system failed to inform adopted people; upon being adopted their legal problems would begin. Having an adoption nullified would be similar to divorce laws. Stating abuse, rape and incest. Stating ereconsiable differences and conflict of interests.

All the victim families here blames the police but the true question is what were their sons doing? Were these random victims walking to school, church gunned down for no reason? Or were the victims involved in their own demise? The officer made a good point that the police is the scapegoat here.
Those people in power are lying through their teeth and they are VINDICTIVE. They forgot they are black . I guess their pay is washing away their memories and experiences
Its trure there is a problem of mistrust between police and neighborhoods of color and it's not all the time the residents fault. Not to take any sides and even leaning pro police myself. But my personal experience when im questioned by police is sometimes disheartening. There were times they would not believe me and it took others to vouch my defense which cause me lots of needless stress and tentions. I was never doing what they assumed. It was just because someone called on me or thinking I'm doing something that I wasn't.
Sorry folks but honestly why in god's name should I talk to the police, give them any information ! One time I was beaten up on the street corner by a coworker over her accusing me of stealing her bottles and cans. The cops told me that I had to get the name, address, and birthday of my attacker / coworker if the police force were going to arrest this psycho woman attacker! If a crime goes down in my hood, I didn't see, hear, or say squat! 🙏✌️👏😘🤔👍🌺🌹🌷
I understand what you're saying. Never talk to the police. TH-cam has plenty of videos from lawyers explaining this. And secondly, you can't trust them after the experience you had.

No one want to do the time or be the victim. In some case the suspect becomes a victim. Therefore justice is served.
What a disgrace.
The disgrace is the victims and suspects were the same.

Their spy/surveillance ware isn’t for solving crimes, silly! It’s for scoping out good marks for civil forfeiture.
incompetent and apathetic

The same law applies in Illinois while committing a crime and a person is killed, the accomplice is charged.

@DraXxX I wonder if it has something to do with these communities "no snitching" rules...but you keep blaming that racist bogeyman.
@DraXxX how can it be racism if the victims, police, mayor, and suspect are all black? The boy that called wolf too many times and no one believes it.
