- I was just watching the Pong's official video, and I realised that the audio sucks. Then I remastered the video with 320kbps sound.

I'm wearing senheisers and a very good external soundcard/amp I don't hear a difference. Plus youtube downscales all audio to 128kbps anyway so what even was the point of this?

Just took a few minutes to compare this to the ORIGINAL video by Eisenfunk (th-cam.com/video/cNAdtkSjSps/w-d-xo.html), and at least the picture quality for this upload is WORSE.
I'll put it on my to-do list to "steal" the original video and add uncompressed audio to it, and then upload to my channel.
Such a shame the picture quality also for the original is rather poor. Even if the song is "old", even Blu-ray/1080p existed then, since years.

Sorry you completely wasted your time (and ours) to "remaster" this, only to upload it still in 360p. Meaning the audio too will be heavily compressed. I'd say for 320kbps sound you need to upload in at least 720p, even if instinct says 1080p (I'm not sure how YT butchers the sound).
I dont think resolution determines bitrate at least not these days with modern software.
@@Itsjosby Tell that to TH-cam, because it's their decoding that matters. And unless you have hearing issues, this sounds not the slightest better than Eisenfunk's own upload.

@@Itsjosby It doesn't take much testing to realize that if you watch a music video here in low resolution you also get lower sound bitrate. Are you consciously ignorant or just trolling? I've been around long enough to understand how YT processes videos and sound, at least. Again, if you have severe hearing issues, you won't be able to distinguish that this video has the same bad sound quality as the original video. Or just read the other comments here if you're in doubt. Either way, data is data. Computed binaries. This video is 360p, but you expect it to produce HD sound? Gimme a break.

The Legacy Encoding Used prior to 2011 would have been as follows.
Resolution Audio Bit Rate Compression
1080p 128 kbps AAC
720p 128 kbps AAC
480p 96 kbps AAC
360p 96 kbps AAC
240p 64 kbps MP3
However, these parameters are no longer existent and resolution does not effect bitrate as your connection effects both independently.
